Troublesome Attractions with a boot?

Has anyone had experience using a Crow Walker boot (or something similar) while trying to get on various attractions, particularly ones with a moving walkway or low seating? My Mom will be at the World for the first time needing to use one on her right foot and is concerned about "wasting our time" waiting for a ride only to figure out she can't get on or worse cause the ride to stop and be evacuated. She has a personal wheelchair* for getting around the parks and resort areas but is capable of taking about 10-15 steps on her own/with one of us helping to steady her.

Specific attractions she's already concerned about include Peter Pan, Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion, Spaceship Earth, Soarin' (could she keep the boot on or does it have to come off?), Jungle Cruise, Splash Mountain, Pirates, Gran Fiesta Tour, and any others we haven't thought of that may be difficult. We still have 50-some days to figure it all out. Thanks for any help!

*If anyone saw my earlier thread, thanks for the input! The DIS talked Dad into getting her one for the trip instead of renting on-site every day.

Follow this link to page 2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread.
Posts 18-21 have details on boarding attractions and lists some information which should be helpful yo you.

All attractions except for Peter Pan, Swiss Family Robinson, Tomorrowland Transit Authority and Tom Sawyer's Island are wheelchair accessible to the point of boarding. Peter Pan has a mainstream (accessible) line, but the moving walkway can't be stopped or slowed and you need to walk about 20 steps from where the wheelchair is parked.
The other 3, guests must be ambulatory.

For Soarin' guests need to remove sandals, like flip flops, that are not securely attached. As long as the boot is firmly strapped on, it won't be a problem. If she had to take it off, it would be handled like sandals, left on until seated, then removed and left on the floor by your seat.

Thank you, SueM! I have seen your thread with the excellent information! Reading it to my Mom is what sparked her interest in hearing stories from anyone who has been in her situation before.

I had to wear a Camwalker boot about 2 years ago. I didn't have many issues, except on Rockin' Rollercoaster. The car is set pretty far down from the platform and my boot prevented my foot from pushing off to climb out. I was able to do it, but it took some extra support/pulling from my husband.

Glad you found that information helpful. I edited it a bit today to make sure it was up to date.

For Jungle Cruise and Gran Fiesta Tour, she could stay in the wheelchair and ride in the wheelchair accessible boat.

Space Mountain is very low, has a very limited time to get in and out, plus limited space so the boot may not fit.
Pirates is a step over the side then down. Most people find it easier getting in than out - you are fighting gravity getting out.

Haunted Mansion and Spaceship Earth font have large steps in or out and the moving walkway can be slowed or stopped. spme people find the moving walkway at Spaceship a Earth feels more slippery (? The metal)

Splash Mountain is totally stopped for boarding end unloading, but is a very high step to get in and out and it is fairly tight.

splash Mountain has been changed to have restraints since this picture was taken, but the step is the same
