Trouble with PS

I have just recently started making Priority Seatings, but have had trouble with each one. The first one I made, they did not have in the computer at all. Luckily for me, it was not a busy time and we were still able to get in. The second time, I made quite a few for Dec. I called back a couple weeks ago to check them, and 2 of the 4 were for the wrong day. Has anyone else had trouble with your PS being incorrect in their records??
 
i discovered the people in the party was incorrect. they had 4 which was correct, but 4 adults(correct), not 2 adults, 2 children. other than that, no problem. good luck! :teleport: :earboy2:
 
I guess amazingly enough, I've never had any trouble with the PS seatings we've made since the whole procedure was initiated. That's about 20 trips worth, more or less--
 
Well, I haven't had as many trips or PS's as Uncleromulus (I wish!) but I've never had any trouble with PS's.

I don't know why you've had such bad luck wth yours. Maybe they've had some computer problems, or maybe they've hired a lot of new CM's recently. Your experience just goes to show that it doesn't hurt to call and confirm PS's, especially if you have a special one planned that you really don't want to miss.
 

One thing to do is carry a list of all your PS information including numbers with you. (You might put it on a file card in your wallet.) Also the people at Guest Services or WDW Dining can call up all of your PS reservations at one time; you might want to give a call the next day (or even later the same day) to make sure everything was properly entered in the computer.
 
On my site, you can select your PS restaurants and events and print your own list out. When you call WDW, you can fill in your PS confirmation numbers right on this list. Just go to the PS Report from my main page (use links in my signature).

Also, WDW guest services can print you your list once there. This can be done at any resort or park.

Lastly, it is always good practise to call about a month before you leave to verify your priority seatings.
 
This was the first trip I had any problems. We arrived and a couple of our ps were wrong. We are very dilegent in planning and even load of the ps' in my palm pilot and take it to the parks with us. Our hotel was very helpfull in correcting the problem.


My suggestion would be to check with guset services at your hotel upon arrival. They can veiw all of you ps' and correct any problems on the spot. It would definitely be better than finding out later that something was wrong.
 
That's a great idea to check with guest services at the hotel. I could do that while my DH is checking us in. We've also been very lucky and never had a problem with a PS. I do always keep the confirmation numbers on me though, just in case!
 
Thanks guys. I have all my PS conf. numbers already written out on little cards, as I did in Oct. I'm just worried since I'm going at a busy time. It won't help if I have it on my little card if they have it wrong and no more open spots.

Yes, I have had that problem, and it seems to stem from the wrong date or a misspelling of the name--- phone connections aren't always clear, especially if you make your PS with a cellular phone. Always double check your PS before you leave from home and take your confirmation numbers with you, so if there is any problem you will not be left in the lurge when you are tired, hungry and expecting to eat at a certain place at a certain time.
 
In all of our trips we've only had two problems. One was a breakfast PS for Kona which was made for pm instead of am. I think the other was the same problem.

We've also had misspellings of our last name which is long and unusual but that has been easy to figure out.

We make probably 15-20 PSs per trip and I think WDWDining on the most part does an outstanding job.
 
Well, this trip we had NO problems with PS and I must say they are worth it! Kind of like the Fastpass...you really get a seat very quickly! The first one we had on this trip had people waiting and we thought it would take forever, and another time we were early. They still seated us for all our priority seatings within 10-15 minutes. It was fabulous. If you have never used a PS, you should!! They are so easy and nice!
 
Last trip we had 2 problems. One was at Chef Mickeys, our PS did not exist. I had my conf# and the guard let us in finally and the CM at Chef Mickeys found us a table. (it was early, I'm not sure that I would have wanted to try this between 8 and 9.

The other was at the Brown Derby. They just completely buchered my name. Again, because I had a list of my PS's they were able to find it.

I am somewhat surprised, though as all of my PS's were made at the same time. The lost PS I could somewhat understand, but the really bad misspelling ???
 
Reading this scared me, so I called and asked the CM to verify both my two resort confirmation numbers and my PS numbers. He started reading off my PSs and I had to stop him and asked him to give me the numbers as well as the dates and times. He laughed and said alot of people had been calling to verify their confirmation number the last few days. I had Chef Mickeys, Donald's Breakfastosaurus, Whispering Canyon, CRT, CP, Hollywood & Vine Fantsmic Pkg, and Bomas. All were thankfully correct. He also told me to get a copy from the hotel when I checked in. From the screen he had access to, he couldn't verify that my room requests were on the hotel ressies but was able to verify courtyard view at WL and savanna view at AKL.
