Has anyone else here had trouble using your Disney Dining Experience card here (at the Bellevue Lounge in the Boardwalk resort)? The last two times we were there we were told that since they didn't serve food they couldn't accept the discount card. I just chalked this up to some kind of "Subject to Change" policy. However, we just re-signed up for the DDE program again and the Bellevue Lounge is still listed (on the new flyer that came with the cards) as a 'Participating Location'. Any help here would be appreciated! I am going to call the DDE number for some type of assistance with this--but I would like to know someone's first hand experience with this!!!

Thank you,
Kim

If I were you I would bring the listing of places you can use the card with you.

Maybe it has something to do with the time of day you go? They do have a continental breakfast. Are you going in the evening for drinks?

My guess is it would be for the breakfast. Might be a good thing to check on.

They don't discount cocktails...I believe Florida Law prohibit's it (most state ABC laws do).

The discount card works at all other on-site lounges. i.e. Mizner's, Martha's Vineyard, Rose & Crown, etc. We have gone to the other resort lounges for just cocktails 9no food) and the card is always accepted. It states right on it--'Good for 20% off all food, beverage and alcohol purchases'. It's somewhat odd that the only place it doesn't work is at the Bellevue Lounge. Thanks for everyone's help!

Juls, I think it is only for FL residents :(

I also have had drinks at participating restaurants and they always accepted the card for the 20% discount. It clearly states it covers alcohol and does not have a disclaimer that you must purchase food as well. I have found when using my card that not every cast member is familiar or comfortable with the process. Some have had to go and find out how it works, etc. But I have never been turned down (although I have never had a drink at Bellevue Lounge)

Hey Lookingforward, how are you??

I also have the DDE card and although we haven't had drinks at the Belleuvue lounge we've always had any alcoholic beverages discounted off of our bill from any other establishment that accepts the card. But, sometimes it depends on the server when it comes to the DDE card.

I tried to use it at H&V last December and the server wasn't familar with the card, but it was accepted there. So, it may just be the matter of misinformed cast members.
