i was at disneys website and i am having trouble finding a room for nov 30th to dec5th and i cant get in the swan or dolphin or the boardwalk or the beach club but if i try nove 29th to dec5th i can get in but the swan and dolhin have nothing after august. i cant belive that in early dec that all the hotels in epcot are full during that time. am i doing something wrong or could they all be full. i also have a delima we were really looking forward to either the beach club or boardwalk or maybe even the yaught club but for 6 nights thats looking at over $1700 and thats alot of money i mean i want to go all out for our first disney vacation but i also want to visit some of the other attractions as well and so i need to budget some since i dont have alot of money to go on. i thought about getting an AP to get a cheaper rate at the hotels but im not finding anything. are the swan and dolphin good hotels and are the staff as nice as they are at disney resorts?

Best advise is to call CRO 407-934-7639 and speak with a CM tell him/she you want a room-only they can check all the resorts for availability.

Another option would be to request a quote from DU. They will be able to tell you if there are any rooms available. You can either go ahead and book the quote or call CRO. We booked our rooms through DU for our trip November 20 to December 4. We had no problems getting the resorts we wanted including one that was supposedly not available.

I don't find that the WDW online site is very reliable when it comes to room availability. Also, you can not apply codes online. Your best bet is to call CRO yourself and they can tell you what is available.

Also, I would suggest that you check out http://mousesavers.com/

You may find that you can qualify for a room only discount using a promotional code. Codes for December are not out yet, but keep visiting mousesavers and they will post them when they are released. There is a lot of good info at that site on finding discounts. After you call and book your room, sometimes you can get the new discount codes applied to your existing reservation. Say you book BWI using only the AAA discount. (not much savings, but it is something) Then in September WDW releases an AP discount or a room only code avail. to anyone. If you call soon enough you can apply the discount to your exisiting reservation.

Using Dreams Unlimited as others have suggested is also a great idea. They can call CRO for you and make your reservations. They will also keep on top of new discounts that may become available.

Happy planning!

I checked your dates at expedia and they have all room categories available at the Beach Club: Standard, Water, Concierge Garden, Concierge Lagoon. At the Boardwalk Inn, they are showing Standard, Water, and Concierge rooms available for your dates.

Like others, I would call CRO and request your dates.

what is the swan dolphin like as compared to say the other epcot resorts? would it be a good idea to stay there to save money or is it not worth the money saved?

We are giong Dec. 1-4. The Swan & Dolphin are both "booked" for the night of the 3rd. I have no idea why - I have not been able to get that info.

We love the S/D. We have stayed there the past 2 years. For some reason the very end of Nov. & early Dec. are "black-out" dates on all their good discounts. I'm hoping something opens up

There is probably a convention going on those times. I know that the good deal for DIS members to get in September end right before my DH's conference at the Dolphin.

EDIT: bad typing errors

so when do thier good discounts apply? what time in december do they start do you know? i think that they offer some good rates and could save us alot of money on our stay at DW. i really dont want to stay out of theboardwalk area though so any others resorts wont be an option.
