If price was the same which one would you pick and why????
Trying to decide between the two? Do both offer free continental breakfast? Are both motels where you enter your room from the outside?
thanks

here you go :)

Carousel has the better breakfast, bigger rooms, better breakfast room, better staff

Tropicana has the better pool complex

We have stayed at both and would stay at either again no problem...

I will admit that we haven't stayed at the Tropicana, but we LOVED, LOVED the Carousel. The room was large and they have the most comfy beds!!! Their breakfast was good too. Just enough to get you thru the morning. We will definately stay there again.:thumbsup2

I like Carousel better. But now that they charge for parking, I'll probably start choosing Tropicana.

lindym....
I love saying Sheboygan....Sheboygan, Sheboygan, Sheboygan.....
We used to live near there many years ago...
We're Southerners, so we were always tickled by the some of the Wisconsin city names.

BTW, Wisconsin is probably one our favorite states!!!:lovestruc

Well, we did not enjoy our stay at the Carousel last October in a standard 2 queen room. Our bed wasn't very comfy, we thought the room was small (we needed a roll-away for our 3rd child), and the towels were too thin. The only place the roll-away would fit was in the space between the bed and the entrance to the bathroom so you had to crawl over the bed to get in there. After the 2nd night we switched to connecting rooms and that was much better space wise. The breakfast was crappy, prolly the worst continental I've had--stale croissants, skimpy offerings. Definitely wouldn't stay there figuring the cost of breakfast into it...we had to supplement it with stuff from McDonald's. If we got a good deal on a suite or connecting rooms we might consider staying again, keeping in mind the negatives, but we'd prolly try the Tropicana or elsewhere first.

Tropicana all the way! The Carousel has a small roof top pool with no hot tub! A big issue for us.

The Tropicana's breakfast was okay, nothing special. The rooms were clean, and we really enjoyed our stay. They have a really nice pool area, and the location was wonderful (it's one place closer then the Carousel).

I really like this thread because I LOVE the Tropicana, I wouldnt hesitate to stay there again. But this time I am staying at the Carousel and ive heard wonderful reviews about it as well, so its gonna be great to try something new.

I was looking on the website to both of these and couldnt' get a rate for september from either :confused3 ......... i was also trying to see about suites for 6 people but???

Thanx gram :lovestruc ..... i noticed in the pic the bunk beds... now are those in a room with a king bed or 2 doubles/queens ? Because if there were the 2 beds i think that the bunkbeds would be aswome for my 2 boys... but we need atleast 2 more beds:)
