So we leave next Thursday - surprising my DH for his 50th. Wouldn't you know that there has to be a tropical storm. We are flying from NY - hoping whatever it is will either be out to see or nowhere between NY and FL so we can fly. I know its nature but it has been just so hard keeping this trip a secret. I don't need the added stress of a tropical system

We arrive on Friday and rain.....rain....rain our entire trip. At this point all I can do is hope that there is lots of Pixie Dust. I thinking I'm bringing rain boots beyond my sneakers!

We're from the NY area ourselves and every flight to Disney or elsewhere we've always flown into either snowstorms or hurricanes or tropical storms (the luck of the irish skipped over me...lol). Anyway, we've always been able to still fly out...unfortunately experienced some turbulence along the way, but always made it. I'm sure it'll be fine and will all work out. =)

When we went to WDW in August the governor of Florida had declared a state of emergency due to Hurricane Erica. Well, the hurricane went elsewhere and we had a lovely, almost rain free and definitely crowd free vacation.

A tropical storm was heading our way for our trip this past June. The most it did was rain a little and the rest of the storm went elsewhere.

We are heading to WDW on Saturday and I think we'll get a lot of rain, but I'm not going to worry about a hurricane this far in advance.

We are headed down tomorrow. Remember has far as rain goes the percentage doesn't mean it will rain everywhere all day. It's just the chance it will rain at some point. Which it likely will especially after 3:00 pm. I'm also watchin Matthew and hoping it steers away from the mainland.

Rain is pretty normal, don't worry about rain, bring rain gear and keep going.

Watch the NOAA site, nobody has any idea what is going to happen by next Thursday. With what they've got now, I'd be more concerned if I were planning to go to Jamaica or the Bahamas, not Orlando.

Bring waterproof sandals of some sort. It is still very hot! I have some croc sandals that are cute, and shed water.

It rains nearly every day around 3pm. You wear a poncho or raincoat ir just get wet. Bring an extra pair of shoes. The Mickey poncho is a cheap souvenir that can be replaced for free if ut tears.

We have gone at the tail end of a hurricane once. The parks were empty. Take a poncho and a change of shoes and make the best of it.

We arrive on Friday too and yes rain every day in the forecast! I sure hope it changes in the next two days.

Well this is rough news. My trip is so short...and I get horrible sinus headaches with the weather! I am trying to find shows for DH as all he has are sneakers. I hope the crocs store has somehitng he will wear. (Not real crocs he hates them) should we bring umbrellas? Or just ponchos? SIGH let's hope it changes course.

We arrive this Friday too. Ack! Just don't want the plane ride to be bumpy. Might have to get 2 pre-flight nerve calming drinks instead of 1.

Don't worry about the rain forecast. It is pretty much always going to be chance of rain during afternoons. Often we go into a ride and come out to find everything wet from a passing rain that we completely miss. It may rain in MK and not in Epcot. Heck it may rain in tomorrowland and not in adventure land. Take a poncho or umbrella and maybe sandals and all will be good! Your trip won't be a wash out.

maybe get him some Keen sandals?

HMM that might be a better option,,do you think they dry fast enough? I wear croc sandals and they dry well of course. I am afraid keens might be too expensive, but I will search..I only have three days until we go and not much time to shop!
