hey everybody,

well we're supposed to fly down from ny on monday the 27th 630am... it looks like 50/50 that something is coming... intensity and exact track too early to tell what the heck should I do... were still going but I am not familiar with airport closures/procedures and what we might have left for/of our vacation (at least we will be there a week).... I just want to get there on monday...

Orlando is far enough inland that you should only get the outer rain bans which could effect your trip for 1 or 2 days, rarely does it cause the airport to shut down. Our best trip ever was during such a time, no one in the parks ..we had a blast !!

Dont wait for the storm to pass, DANCE in the rain !!:jumping1:

Unless you are flying into Miami, or somewhere else down south, you should be fine. Like Keliblue said, Orlando is far enough inland that we will not be affected the early. Good luck!

back in 2008 my dd and I flew in to Orlando in the middle of a tropical storm (I believe our flight was one of the last allowed to depart for MCO). it rained all three days I was there (dd was checking in for the CP). I noticed it didn't stop the guest going to the parks - take your panchos and have a great time!

We have been at Disney thru Ivan & Katrina. Obviously, neither hit here. Some rain, bring ponchos, but low crowds! We had a blast. No airport delays or worries at either time. Have fun!

We were there this year for tropical storm Debby and it was the best trip ever. like 73 degrees and rained off and on (but really hard when it did). The crowds were virtually non-existent. It was great.

I'm visiting my mom in the Tampa Bay area (west coast) and everything we've heard is calling for stuff to come to us but northing too far inland. Your flight should be fine and ditto for Disney, they're pros at this stuff.

The only thing to keep in mind is that a lot of the coastal colleges have shut down, and some of their students will be at Disney - if they're near you and they're loud in their hurricane partying :drinking1 , you can always go to the front desk.
