Now that Tropical Storm Delta has moved into northwest Africa and dissipated, a new tropical storm has formed farther west in the central Atlantic. This storm is named Epsilon and as of 10AM CST was located neat 31.6 north and 50.4 west or about 845 miles east of Bermuda. Epsilon is moving west at 8 mph and has sustained winds of 45 mph. Some strengthening is possible during the next day or two, but it should not be a threat to any land areas for at least a few days.
Generally tranquil weather is found elsewhere in the tropical Atlantic.
