OOOOOOOHHHHH!!!!!
This was my Favorite Part of the cruise! (You must wear your bathing suit while utilizing the Rain Forest - also, wash off all your make up before going in. Bring your hair gel, brush, deodorant, etc. with you so you can get all ready in a nice wide open space, vs. the cramped stateroom bathroom)

For $45 for 4 days you get to enjoy the Tropical Rain Forest part of the spa!
This is what you see in the video, the heated tiled chaise lounges.....
There are three different steam rooms. One very very mild (I didn't even bother), another "mild" one, which I thought was very steamy and then the Aromatherapy room which I would say fits 2 comfortably (4 - cramped). Then you have the two specialty showers: Tropical rain forest which rains down what I thought was Rose scented water and the Fog rain shower which rains down what I thought was eucalyptus, but someone told me it was chamomile (spelling?).

I totally enjoyed the aromatherapy sauna. After sitting in there for a while, I went into the tropical shower to cool down (and smell like roses) then I went into the "mild" sauna, which as I said was Very steamy. Then I went to the Fog shower (there's two, but only one has the scent). Shampoo and soap are in all the showers, so I washed up and washed my hair and then I let the eucalyptus/chamomile run through my hair. ALSO, that shower felt EXCELLENT on my slightly sunburned body. It cooled it down. Then I slipped into my robe and lied on the heated chaise lounge. IT WAS AWESOME!
I did that every night before dinner.
I would then go down to my room & put on my makeup, fix my hair (which you can also do in the locker room) and got dressed for dinner.
While back at the cabin nice and relaxed, DH & my two DD argued over who would shower first!
MOMS, You've Got To Do This! It was very relaxing and made me feel so good.

I agree! This has been the best kept secret of the cruise for my DH and I!! :goodvibes

Sounds terrific, I'll have to remember this when we go. Did this book up quickly, do you make ressies before you go or when you're on the ship?

It doesn't book up, per se....basically, you buy a pass, and you can come and go as you please...I haven't done this yet, but Ihope to on my next cruise....

so you buy a pass, and you can go use the facility whenever you want? once, only? or any time during the day, in & out? and is this co-ed? or only for ladies?

sounds intriguing! :flower:

You can buy a one day pass or a multi-day pass and come and go whenever you want. It is co-ed (bathing suits required) and white robes and towels are provided. Go to the www castaway club (no spaces) website and click on The Spa - there is a link for the rainforest room there. It's heaven, and just one of the reasons I booked another Disney cruise... :goodvibes

Yeah, sounds great. I think we'll do that next time instead of a treatment. I'd do it every day-dh maybe sometimes. What's the going rate these days for 1 day and the 7 day? Also, if he got the one day and liked it, could he 'upgrade' to the 7 day pass?

its dh and I favorite spot on the cruise. we cannot wait till we get to experience it for 7 days. :cool1:

Best part of the cruise by far :cool1: Hubby and me were in it EVERYDAY and after spending an hour in there we would stroll over to the Cove Cafe' and have a frozen Mocachino (Romy makes them the BEST) and sit and relax some more :goodvibes

Just a word of caution, they do sell passes but I was told they only sell a limited number of them. This may only an issue if the ship is full and a lot of people want them, but I just wanted to make folks aware.

I love the rain forest room, if I could I would put one in my house I would. :earsboy:

If you can fix your hair in the locker rooms, does that mean they have hair dryers there? This sounds like heaven. I don't know if my DH would like it, but I would love to take my shower before dinner here every night.

I don't remember if they had a hair dryer in there....I'm getting a blank remembering that. But they do have a chair like you'd see in a beauty salon in front of a full wall sized mirror that is in the locker room.
I didn't have to blow dry my hair, I just let it dry naturally and by dinner it would be fine :)
for a 4 day it was $45. It was $15 per day. On the first day before the ship left port you are allowed to wander around and take a look (which we did) and I had no intention on doing anything in the spa. But then when my husband came up to take a look, he convinced me, and I'm glad he did! I don't know how much it would be for the 7 day. I was able to come and go when I pleased without a reservation. I don't think they were worried about it booking up because they had a sign every day announcing some sort of special rate.

I've heard that the 7 day pass is $75, but I'm not sure it is correct
