We have stayed here many of time an had a great time. One of the nice thing it is walk distance to every thing and there is a whole lot to do. It is not like staying at FW But it is a nice change.

We have only stayed there for a day or so when we arrived before our scheduled time at FW and couldn't get in early, but we enjoyed the nearness of all of the shops (I did anyway). Make sure to walk to Old Town and bring plenty of money!!!

We have also only stayed twice or so, but it's a very nice campground. It is only a campgground however, FW is far more, so no fair comparison.

The people are great and they have large pull thrus for those with big rigs. Many smaller sites also for smaller units. Right smack in the middle of the action on 192 (as you enter and leave) so be prepared for traffic and some noise.

We stayed there two nights last February. We were very happy with the campground, though we found the campground staff to be less than helpful. One heads up...at the backend of the campground there is a pond/small lake...body of water... we saw a baby alligator - from what we could tell about 3-4 feet long. No sign of any larger one, but we would not let our girls go over there on their own, and I admit to being a little afraid walking in the dark. (I did carry my flashlight and held onto DH too)

Thank all of you for your answers! Does anyone have any pictures of Tropical Palms?I have stayed in that area before at different hotels and timeshares and know what a bugger the traffic is :faint: All of your information is so much appreciated    I have ressies in there cottage, but if things are good we may come back and stay at the campground in March when my wife can make the trip.Disney has out priced themselfs for a camping spot in march allmost 450 plus for 6 nites... My plans are not set in stone and i still have a month to look around for other places .
Thanks :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Have you checked their website at tropicalpalms.com? We just stayed for 12 nites in December. It was ok. The pool is always very warm, much warmer than FW's pool. There is more vehicle traffic so I am a nervous wreck when the kids want to ride bikes, scooters, etc. Didn't use the bath house so I can't comment on it. Laundry facility is ok. $2 per load to wash. 25 cents per 5 min's on the dryers. The dryer in the corner by itself works best!! When you take the camper consider a paved site. We had a grassy site and the camper was always a mess. If you get a ressie really early you should get a great rate. We stayed for $40/nite (booked last march) and the sites were going for about twice that much the couple of months before Christmas.
Very convenient drive to WDW, easy in and easy out. Not as convenient as being onsite at FW but we made it work.
