Tron return times for non Das scooter users?

Does anyone know if they are issuing return times for Tron now that it's gone standby if you're a non DAS scooter user or is your only option to purchase an Individual Lightning Lane? There's no way I can stay on my feet for an hour long, slow moving line, let alone walk that lenghty of a queue.

I’m pretty sure the line is scooter friendly. Even with a VQ the line currently could get up to an hour.

They didn’t let our ECV rider in the LL with his ECV in April. Had to transfer to a wc so I would expect to be told to transfer* We were told ECVs can’t make the turns inside (stupid, cheap design choice).

@Marshel you are not going to be issued a wc return time. The line is WC accessible therefore all ECV users can access it by borrowing an attraction wc if the ecv isn't alllowed.

*I distinctly remember this as I pushed him and had to tell after I am sorry but not again. Thankfully he didn’t care much for it anyway (had to sit in the accessible seat). The ramps upon ramps rather wrecked my weak wrists as he is not a light man so anyone doing this please keep the ramps in mind!

When I was there in May, a CM pushed the attraction wc. It looked like the guest was riding alone. Hopefully that would be an option if the traveling party was unable to assist.

Although it's not the official policy, that the CM will push your wheelchair if there's no one else available who can, I've been fortunate to have this happen at a couple other rides-Winnie the Pooh and Pirates. Very nice of the CM! But as they always say, "not guaranteed".

Does Tron allow you to use your scooter in the line? I am not aware of any attractions that force you to leave your scooter behind except ones that provide a transfer wheelchair.
Yes they do require you to leave your scooter and take one of their complimentary WC"s similar to Buzz Lightyear. When I rode it myself I pushed the WC through the queue like a rollator. That was back in July - I had a VQ call back early in the morning and there was no wait to walk through to the lockers - not sure how being able to do standby now affects the wait times overall.

I've ridden it many times and had to leave my scooter. If I had to walk the queue and it was a long one - I'd probably have buy the return time pass.

So if you’re solo and there is no CM to push? Can you get a return time or are you SOL? Thinking PP… Tron is no where I’d ever go LOL

It is not. I was told if I couldn't walk the queue they would lend me a wheelchair, but someone would have to push me.

Last night at the Haloween party, walking the normal queue was the only option I was offered when I told them I was by myself and had no one to push a wheelchair. It was posted as a 30 minute wait and it ended up more like 40 and between that and walking the whole Peter Pan line, it killed my knees to where I'm having a really rough mobility day today. They really need a better situation for single scooter people. I bought my way on to it for Thursday, hopefully I moving well enough to make it by then.

Yes, I agree! It's disappointing to me that there was no kindly CM who offered to push your wheelchair. I know it isn't a guarantee, and pushing wheelchairs isn't part of their job, but that's one Disney touch that I've been fortunate enough to encounter twice. The second time, the CM waited at the exit for me to get off the attraction and pushed me back to my wheelchair. Disney magic!

Had a 12:15 ILL today for Tron and wasn't up to walking the queue at all, explained my situation at the top of the line and CM Matt from Ft. Lauderdale graciously offered to push me through in a wheel chair. Was really grateful as there was no way I would have been able to walk it; also met me right at the unload point and took me back to my socooter

Absolutely ridiculous they built a queue in recent years that doesn’t handle ECV’s and then didn’t plan to accommodate those who don’t have anyone to push them (whether because alone or their party can’t). SOP should be to for CM to someone through the queue or issue a WC return time.

I agree on the queue, it should have been better designed to accommodate ECV's, especially since Tron is a new attraction. I do not agree with the part about having a CM push a WC for a guest. There are too many risks for the CM now. The CM could injure themselves (I was an attractions manager at WDW at one point in my career), I had a CM throw their back out because they were trying to be nice and help push a person in a WC through the Pirates queue. She (CM) was literally on the ground and couldn't get up, Reedy Creek had to be called and she was transported to the hospital. She was on workers comp for over a month before she was able to return to work. And, if a guest is injured because of something that happens while a CM is pushing, FL has a very robust personal injury attorney population, there is a strong chance of a lawsuit. Especially against Disney, people see those dollar signs real quick. That is also one of the reasons CM's can't assist a guest onto a ride, they can offer an arm to steady a guest, but that is it (or at least it's supposed to be). I don't see how issuing a WC return time would help, a person would still have to navigate through the queue when they return. Maybe not as many switchbacks as the SB line, but there are still challenges.

I asked in July, when I walked myself through the line pushing a WC (like a rollator to steady myself) if I could go through the LL just so I'd have a shorter walk. There was zero wait time in the regular queue so wait time wasn't the issue - but the CM wouldn't let me do it. So I went in the regular queue and it was loooong for me. I had a ton of people backed up behind me as I was walking as fast as I could go. I finally found a corner to stop in and let folks go around me. Had the wait in line been long and I couldn't sit down - I'd have been in a pickle.

Not a fan of that queue lol. My son is a CM (not at Tron) and I wouldn't have let someone push me and didn't expect it. I'm an annual pass holder and it's not like my only trip to WDW and I don't have to ride it but for many (most) they don't go as often as I'm lucky to be able to do so I feel badly for solo trippers. I'd suggest buying the LL but only if you're able to walk a bit of distance. There is also a long downslope area and leaving there is a long ramp up - so keep that in mind. Walking downhill was killer for me.
