Am I the only one who just looks through the pics in tripies and does not have the patience to read the text Oh and who feels cheated when there are no pics
Oh and BTW I am on holiday form work this week and a bored
no not really ... i just used common sense to understand what the op was getting at ... i didnt even notice they were from the uk either so its no "uk" term
lol, i do that sometimes too, but there are lots of great tips in the text sometimes, so i try and read it when i can! i just finished my TR up today! lots of pics, but lots of text too.
I believe is a medical diganosis. The sterotype is a student who can't sit still in class, but there is so much more going on.
Photographer Ansel Adams says he would have been diganosed adhd if they had that label in his childhood.
From all that energy comes such beautiful still images.
To answer the OP,
yes, I will often stick with a trip report if there are links to report postings (skipping the chit-chat)
We have some phenominal writers/photographers/comic geniuses on the trip reports board,
but it can be a bit like going through the looking glass and getting lost.
I spent hours reading report prior to my first trip.
Photos are a must for me when reading TR's! That said, if I'm following along & they took the time to write it, I'll take the time to read it. Plus for me, the humor & stories behind the photos are what make the trip report worth following. Otherwise, I would just subscribe to the many different 'Photo of the Day' threads - there seems to be a theme for just about anything you can think of with those threads, which is great!
One person posted a live trip report that is almost all pictures, but I actually find it kind of boring. It's great of them to take the time to do that for us here at home & to give us reports on the weather & wait times (handy if you're headed to the World soon), but it's photo after photo of their family doing nothing in particular. No real story & not a lot of scenery. Meh.
I know what you mean though, I am a big food review fan, however there has to be a good mix of opinion as well as some yummy, scrummy, food porn! So yes, I won't read a review that hasn't got a decent amount of pictures, but a good commentary is important too!

I also love reading trip reports. It gives great perspective about how a trip can unfold. You may also find tips and tricks you've never thought of during a Disney vacation.
