Tripods for Cybershots

I was thinking of maybe buying a tripod for my sony cybershot camera, to use for taking night photos like firework shows, as you need a real steady hand for night shots on my camera for it not to blur.

what kind of tripod do you recomend?

i want a light, easy to use, portable tripod , that it able to stand on the floor without me bending down too much
