Have a friend whose inlaws are going to WDW in a couple of months. They are insisting they bring the triple front to back stroller. My friend says it won't fit on the buses and monorails. Inlaws say they can use the handicap car on the monorail. I already informed them that my mom uses an ECV and I can't tell them the number of times they booted strollers out of that car for my mom and her ECV. So what should the inlaws expect for access with this triplet stroller? Any problems? I suggested one double and one single.

I take it you are talking about a non-folding stroller like a Peg Triplette, and Inglesina Domino or a Runabout? If so, I think that the only way it could be used at WDW would be if it were transported between parks/resorts via a private vehicle. To get it to the MK, they would probably need to do a drop-off and then park, and take the ferry rather than the monorail, because I don't think you could get the pieces on the tram without an army to carry them.

If it is something like a BT Breckenridge, that folds flat but is just on the large side, they probably could manage on transport vehicles, but not unless they had at least 3 adults.

I used to have the Peg Perego triple stroller. The seats were front to back, and if I remember right it did fold up--but you had to literelly take it apart (seats off and everything) in order to fold it up. I'm not sure, since in the year and a half or so we owned it I never once folded it up--just too much of an inconvenience. We used a double and a single whenever we needed strollers outside of the neighborhood (used the triple just to walk to the park, etc.)

I wouldn't even had considered taking the triple stroller to WDW; it would've been a major pain. Even if they have their own car to get to the parks it would still mean having to take off the seats to haul it around in the vehicle. As for the buses, I'm pretty sure they wouldn't let them put it where the ECV's go. Plus getting on the bus itself: I don't know if it would fit on the ECV lift, and obviously you can't haul it up the steps. Not to mention they're kind of hard to push (at least ours was). Also ours was so hard to turn. Not fun to manauever through a crowd.

If I were them, I would definetely take the double and the single. Or if the triplets are older (2 or so), I would skip bringing strollers from home altogether and rent one. We rented a double for our last trip, and oftentimes all 3 kids (ages-- just turned 4,4, and almost 3) rode in it at the same time.

Your family sounds like ours. We have twins and one 14 months younger. We started going to WDW when the twins were 9 months old. We always took three umbrella strollers and connected two with the stroller connectors. They folded easily and we had no problems. One us pushed the "double" and one pushed the "single".

By non-folding, I meant those that only fold with the seats removed. For all intents and purposes, that isn't folding when it comes to public transit, because you would need extra hands to carry the components. With the frame, 3 seats and 3 babies, that's at least 4 adults, and probably 5 would be more realistic.

I have triplets and the triple inglesina. No way you'd get that on disney transportation. Use a double and a single - easier, lighter, and they will fit. Pushing a triple stroller all day through the parks would be miserable.

My best friend has triplets and I've been with her and that massive stroller "triplet" stroller her MIL gave her and the day usually ends in tears. It is very hard to get around with. That thing is WICKED heavy and hard to get around corners...although I think it was mostly the "spectacle" of it all that brought her to tears. She sold the triplet stroller, got a double and a single and it's much easier to be out and about. The kids are cute too...the boys ride together and the little girl sits in the single and they blow kisses to each other...sorry off topic a bit but I thought it was cute!!

Needed to edit in case anyone reads this! The people are my friend's inlaws. I don't know them.

I have triplets. We took them when they were in strollers. Besides the stroller not fitting well on the transportations system, the triple strollers are a bugger to push around in crowds! We had a top line Perego. I can not imagine trying to manuever that thing at WDW. Just my opinion. We used to bring a single and rent a double.
