Is it worth $50 a year for AAA? What are some of the benefits?

free towing (within a distance). It was really nice to have the towing taken care of when I got in my accident last summer. One less stress. The Police Officer asked who'd I like to tow my car and I said anyone w/ AAA. The guy came, got my info and took my car away. It was nice that I didn't have to think about paying the guy or the company.

There is discounts on hotels, park tickets. They have a travel agent.

Free maps and state guides. If you are going on a road trip they can give you a "triptik" that maps out your path and it has all the exits, distances, and rest stops (aaah) all marked on there.

The show your card and save program. You can save a lot during the year if you use your card. Not to mention free trip tiks, or you can download them from their web site, hotel discounts, car rental discounts.

The peace of mind is worth it in case anything happens with your car.

We have had it for years, the Plus membership, primarily for the extended towing if needed.

It more than pays for itself, just in my hotel discounts during the year. And wonderful peace of mind.

We are plus members, also for the extended towing. Within the past year we needed a tire changed in the pouring down rain at about 11:00 pm and needed a tow due to some strange mechanical thing. Add to that the various discounts and the TripTiks, hotel guides, etc. for our road trips and it's more than worth it IMHO.

How about the time a month or so ago I was driving down the highway with DD and had a blow out and this nice man came out to change the tire for me in the -20 degree temps that day.

We use it for hotels, car repairs, dining discounts, lots of stuff.

We have the plus membership for all 4 of us. We pay $150 I think. It is worth every penny. DS had his car towed many times last year due to a clutch cable that kept snapping. I also use them for TripTiks. My favorite! I also love ordering all kinds of mapbooks and interest books from them for free. Getting hotel discounts are good too. I think the best thing about AAA is it gets me 30% off frames and glasses at Lenscrafters. I saved $600 yesterday on 3 pair of glasses and a year of contacts. Yep, AAA is okay!

We just have the standard membership. We mostly have used it when we have locked our keys in the car and for hotel and ticket discounts. I have gotten rooms at Disney through AAA for less than the Florida resident rates.

A very detailed package of travel maps, point to point, along with books pertaining to your travels. All free. If you have an office near you, I would stop in and ask to see some samples. They are exclusive to AAA and wonderful, even with all the mapping we now have online.

I love AAA. Because of my old car and it's troubles I got to know some of the guys by name. lol
I think it's well worth the money.

I loved my AAA number times have locked myself out the car, all tows, hotel discounts, shopping discounts and free 21 car inspection they do. It well worth the money.

I also have the AAA Plus. One of my sons is in college out of state, and he has used it several times for car trouble, blow outs, etc. I always use it to get my glasses at 30% off at Lenscrafters and the Show Your Card and Save program is great. I also bought $25 restaurant gift cards at 10% off on the website for Christmas gifts this year. It more than pays for itself in a year and gives me real peace of mind.

It does offer peace of mind. Had it for several years and never used it....not even any free maps. If I were a single woman or had an old car I wouldn't be without it.
