Trip was cancelled the day before leaving..

HUGS I know it sucks. The job market here in MI sure is topsy turvy at best.

But what a great thing, you can still look forward to a trip. + you can do MNSSHP, Food and Wine festival and stay at WL. I'd wait 6 months for that!

HI ,hope all go's fine for your DH job, you are in my prays :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

May GOD BLESS YOU and your family ;)

take care :goodvibes

MARY

Don't forget that you will now be there during some MNSSHP dates! Maybe you could look into getting some tickets for the party during your stay. And getting to stay at WL will definitely be worth the wait! Summer will fly by (it always does, doesn't it?) and October will be here before you know it. Sending pixiedust :wizard: your way for your family and your husband's job situation.

I saw the title and said "Oh no!" and my honey said "What?" So, I read your post outloud to her. By the time that I got to the part where you said that today was Epcot...my voice cracked and I started crying. Gabby looked at me and said "Don't cry!" and I told her that I knew that had I been you, I would have just been destroyed.

So, :grouphug: I can totally understand how you must feel, being that I too am a complete Disney addict. I will pray for your hubby's job situation to work out for the best possible outcome. :goodvibes I will also pray for you to find some peace and a lot of joy in planning your new trip. Hang in there! You are certainly among friends who can understand here. Maggie

So sorry you had to cancel your trip-I'm glad you were able to reschedule and have something to look forward to. Hope all goes well with your husband's job. Everyone can certainly relate these days. :grouphug:

I am also sorry to hear about your having to postpone your trip. I hope that everything works out well with your husband's job. I know how hard it is to not know the status of DH's job. We just went through that type of situation this spring.

:grouphug:

I know it feels awful now...... but just think, you'll be there for Food & Wine Festival. You'll love it. Maybe you could even do a MNSSHP!!!!!

Thanks so much for everyones kind words, this is such a wonderful community we have here at the Dis.

I am glad you had such good luck with all of the changes. I hope you DH's job change goes as well. Good luck!

The best part is that you're still going to WDW :Pinkbounc :earsboy:

I am sorry your a better woman than me I would have left dh at home and went alone :teeth:

It must have been so difficult for you to go through all of this :grouphug:

The next week or two will probably be tough, then you will be right back in the swing of planning! Hope you feel better about everything soon!!

I rescheduled everything for October 27-November 4, they let me move the funds over to the new date without any penalties, and since we have more time we are moving from the CBR to the WL. .

Awww, I'm so sorry this happened to you :grouphug:

But I do have to tell you that Oct 27-Nov 4th are GREAT DATES!!!Thats when our trip is going to be.
And you will love WL.
We are doing more of a budget trip this year so we won't be staying there, but we fell in love with that resort in 2004
We'll be at our 2nd fav, CSR ,this time.

I know how it feels to unpack the day before you think you're going to WDW. BUT! Your situation has a GREAT silver linning: You get to go with SMALLER crowds, COOLER temperatures, and you'll be at the WILDERNESS LODGE!!! How cool is that?!!!!

Oh that is a rough thing to have happen. I am so glad that you were able to work it out, Beast wishes for your DH transition to his new employer.

On a side note, about 12 years ago, the same thing happened to my DH. His company was sold, and then it changed hands 3 more times in about 2 years. Now the "new" owners look like they are selling after 10 years, and it has affected morale. It all works out, but the change is stressful, so I'm sending :wizard: for good luck.

We had to cancel our annual trip to Disney last summer. I remember living out each day at home. Today we would have been at MK, I should be at Ohanas right now, and so forth. I cried for 2 days, but it got easier as the week went on. We have had to wait a long year to go back. Our trip is coming up soon. One thing last year taught me was not to ever take Disney for granted. You never know if this might be your last trip. This year we are going to take it a little slower and sit for every parade and every firework show. My kids even seem to be more excited than ever before. We will so appreciate our trip this year.

I am so glad everything has worked out for you! Hope you have a great trip! :wave2:

This trip wasn't meant to be....and the real one in 6 months will be great. Wilderness Lodge...I've been wanting to go. You'll have a blast! Enjoy!

Good luck in the transition.
