Trip to San antonio

Looking to do a budget weekend getaway to San Antonio. We would be leaving next Friday afternoon and coming back Sunday evening. It will be me and a group of friends. Were all in our 20s and looking for some good stuff today. I looked into Six Flags and right now they have a $40 deal but I've been reading recent reviews and it seems that a lot of the rides has been down. Were also trying to figure out where to stay. Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do and where to stay

Stay on the Riverwalk. Hotels abound. Take the boat ride, eat great Mexican food, and bar hop.

Stay near the river walk that's where shopping and the bar/club scene is. I haven't been to that six flags since 2008. It was fun but a long one ago. I spent a lot of time in San Antonio with the army. You'll like the river walk area!

I agree, at your age, the Riverwalk area is tailor made for you.

We stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites San Antonio Convention Center 3 to 4 years ago right before Christmas. It was right across the street from the river walk and Alamo. Walking distance to most things. The hotel seemed nicer than most Hiltons we have been to and had a great free breakfast.

There's a Holiday Inn Express a few blocks off the Riverwalk that is less than half the price of the one ON the Riverwalk. I'd go that route if budget is a concern.

Sometimes hotwire has some good deals on the Westin La Cantera Resort. It's literally right next to Six Flags and has an awesome pool set up. Worth checking into.... There's Sea World too-- they've just re-done a lot of things and it's a fun way to spend a day.
