Trip to DL Paris is booked!

We loved DL Paris-went last summer! The guys on Pirates of the Caribbean are hilarious! They really got into their roles. Some of the rides were different but that is the fun of visiting different Disney destinations. Try to enjoy Paris as well! It is truly a marvelous city-our kids loved Paris just as much as Disney. Have a great time!

I loved visiting Paris and DLRP. There MK is so beautiful so much detail on everything and so many things to explore like the Skull cave from Peter Pan. An you'll find attractions tucked away in all sorts of odd places :) And they have a bdand new EARL OF SANDWICH in Disney Village aka Downtown Disney

As for Paris it is so beautiful. So much detail on everything from the light posts to the apartment buildings. I loved the view from atop Notre Dame and Sacre Coeur. And seeing the flagship Dior store (sigh). The Louvre was nice glad I did it alone since I personally find museums tedious. The Eiffel Tower was alot bigger than I thought it would be as well.

I absolutely love Paris. So far it is my favorite city on the planet including the one I'm living in right now. Seriously, if my French skills were better I would move. You will have the time of your life. I'm very happy for you.

Love DLRP going back for their 20th anniversary celebration in september for 2 nights. sadly not staying in resort as too expensive this year! need to save for orlando 2013!!

That's wonderful! Have a great time! Realize that DLP locals are not as respectful of their parks (more littering and trampling areas off limits) and smoking is prevalent everywhere, but it's still beautiful and well worth seeing.

yeah, I heard all about the smoking problem there. Fear not, though, 'cause I'll be either buying a small portable fan, or will make myself a huge fan out of paper to ward off annoying smoke smells. Just hope I don't end up looking like I'm about to bust out my flamenco moves. :rotfl2:

I always try to sneak a day at DL Paris after my France business trips. It's an absolutely lovely and delightful park. Immense attention to detail and intimate, much like Disneyland.

As previous poster explained, do expect some differences (smoking, personal space, raised voices) but nothing to be alarmed about.

Pirates, Phantom Manor & Big Thunder are all fantastic. I would sheepishly dare to say, sometimes better than the WDW versions. Fantasyland is just so very cute and charming. Discoveryland's Jules Verne inspired details is a radical departure from what we're used to seeing in our Tomorrowland.

The studios can sometimes seem like an afterthought but the Crush Coaster is new and different although it incorporates some The Seas with Nemo & Friends details. They now also have a Tower Of Terror as well.

And nothing says Paris like drinking Jack Daniels and watching a country western band perform at Billy Bob's Country Western Saloon in the downtown Disney District. Right? Anyone?

Have fun!

DLP is the most stunningly beautiful park. I think there's an authenticity to it because it is in Europe where these characters are meant to be. C'mon, Belle speaking French? Perfect.

Plus the castle is awe inspiring.

I've yet to see the American parks but from what I've heard, a lot of people compare DLP to Disneyland and Magic Kingdom negatively. I think that's a bit rough as this is an entirely different country with an entirely different culture. I think this just makes it even better. All about perspective really. Mind you, I've also heard people comment many times the DLP's Magic Kingdom is the prettiest of all the MK parks around the world. Soak it up ;)

Speaking of personal fans. Anyone know if any of the stores at either the Village, the Studios, or Disneyland sell them at all? Y'all know what I'm talking about right? The battery operated ones to keep you cool when it's hot outside?

My avy is the POTC ride at DLRP. We had a great time there. While in Paris take the stairs in the Arc di Triomphe. It has great views of the city. Even better than the Eiffel tower in my opinion.

Honestly I hear you but in my humble opinion Tokyo Disney Sea is a winner hands down as far as worldwide parks. Although I haven't been to Hong Kong yet...
I enjoyed DLRP and think their queue for POTC is the best worldwide.

I've never been to DisneySea but I also understand it's the world's best Disney park. This was why I referred to DLP as being the prettiest of the magic kingdom parks.

This may sound ridiculous but I can't tell you how much I ADORE the brick Main St in Disneyland Paris. Not asphalt!

I want to go to DisneySea now. :(

If you have any question about Disneyland and surrondings in order to plan your trip, feel free to ask !!
