trip split over 2 UYs

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to plan my points (and figure out if I have all the points I need for the trips I want to take) and I'm wondering how to plan for a trip that crosses the use year.

In particular, I have a December UY for this example lets use 2013 and BLT value studio. I want to start my trip on 11/30 and go thru 12/4.
11/30 is 17 pts, the rest of the trip is 42 pts (14ppn)

The 11/30 has to be in my 2012 use year right, and the rest in 13?

I don't want to get into a banking forward the points and then end up borrowing back type situation.

Correct. If you are going to book a stay like this, it's best to call MS and have them book it. MS will book two reservations and link them so you don't have to change rooms.

The online reservation system will not allow you to book a reservation that spans UYs, you would need to book separate reservations. You would have to wait a day to book the second portion. If you call, MS does not have the same restriction on booking the second portion of the stay.
