We were at WDW around this time last year and although it wasn't very crowded, it WAS HOT & HUMID - upper 80s/low 90s the whole time.

The good thing was the start of the Food & Wine Fest and MNSSHP. The F&W Fest is a nice experience at Epcot - traveling around the World Showcase sampling food & drink from various countries (for a small price). MNSSHP is alot of fun. Most people (adults & kids) dress up in costumes and go trick-or-treating in MK. Great shows, parade and fireworks - definitely worth the price of admission!!!

HTH!!! :tigger:

Have to give a big :thumbsup2 thumbsup for MNSSHP.

We went in 2004 for the first time (my ds' were 10 and almost 5 at the time)and it was great.... very short ride lines and was neat to see all the characters dressed up. You also see alot of characters you don't 'normally' see in the parks. We will be doing it again this October and can't wait. My older ds said he's going to make a costume for Pal Mickey too!

We like to go in October because of the Food and Wine Festival at Epcot. This year we tried the MNSSHP and were dissappointed. We do not have kids so maybe that was lost on us but the weather was so hot and the place was very crowded. Aside from the little bit of free candy (that you can buy anywhere) and the parade there is nothing different than any other night at MK

We were there Sept 25-Oct 8 2005. We went for MNSSHP & F&WF, and enjoyed both. We're glad that we went, but we enjoyed our first trip in Dec 2004 more. Like travelin' tigger said, it was very hot & humid. It also rained A LOT the second week. The second week was also much more crowded than the first. Our next trip, we'll be going back in Dec.

We went during last week of October last year and took family for MNNSHP - soooo worth it! If you go during the week (we went on a Tuesday), not so busy. And if you stay past 10 pm (open till midnight) you just walk onto rides, and you can walk five across through the park without a problem, especially in Frontierland. We each got loads of candy, all Nestle and such, good stuff. Make sure you go along Alice in Wonderland path from Mickey's Toontown to Tomorrowland - that's where we got the most. Also, take advantage of their free photo spots - go inside in Tomorrowland and they take a family photo by a photographer for free - there were 5 of us and we had 5 gorgeous photos waiting for us when we got home! Also, you don't have to use a park pass day to go - we went to the park around 4:30 p.m. with our party tickets and stayed until midnight (our kids are teenagers). The fireworks is also new and different for the Halloween party nights than the Wishes fireworks, and the parade is excellent. Kids or no kids, it's still very enjoyable, and the decorations are great. No costume is required either, but it's lots of fun - my DH was a pirate and had a ball saying "arrgh" all night. Buy your tickets on-line ahead of time as it's cheaper. You'll get them in the mail in plenty of time.
Enjoy!!!

My family is going October 29th through novemeber 3rd

I was thinking of doing the halloween party on an off night, like sunday (whenever they release the dates)

I figure halloween night itself would be more crowded

We've been to MNSSHP a couple of times. We love it. It's not nearly as hot in the evening. The place is packed at the entrance at the beginning, but we arrive alittle late and stay till closing, even it the DS4 is sleeping. After 10 or so, the park really empties out. We'll ride the mountain 5,6,7 times in a row, they don't even make you get off and walk around at that point. They just tell you, if you want to ride again, stay seated. We love it, and treasure the free photos they take and mail home.
