Hi All,
Just a quick review of our trip from a few weeks ago.

First off......it was HOT! I mean HOT! We had a couple of days with a heat index over 100.
No rain except for the first day we arrived. (Bring your ponchos!)
This was a first time for us visiting Disney in June. And I honestly can say, never again.
We will stick to cooler months like October.
We expected the heat. It is Florida in the summer. But quickly learned no matter how prepared you are, the heat still takes it's toll.
Thank God! for Disney giving out "Free" ice water and ice at any of their QS/TS. We used this often to refill our water bottles.

Besides the heat our trip was wonderful. Our only "real" complaint and I will voice it now, is with the new Fast Pass system. This was our first time using the new Fast Pass. It is wonderful being able to pick (3) major attractions ahead of time. However there is also a flaw in the system which we experienced first hand. As an example: As we where waiting in the stand by line of Haunted Mansion sweating to death, we counted almost 200 people that passed us by using their Fast Pass. 200 people is a lot! We can understand maybe 15-20. But 200???? This was only while waiting 10 minutes or so. So needless to say, Disney still has a few bugs to work out of their system. Other than that, Fast Pass worked wonderfully.

Our first day was at Magic Kingdom. We arrived around 2:30 in the afternoon and started with our first Fast Pass ride (Haunted Mansion). Right after we ate at Liberty Tree, which is a fantastic meal! If you walk away hungry from this place something is wrong. They serve you more food than you can possibly eat. All of which was very tasty. After our meal we moved on to the new Fantasy Land. We rode Peter Pan, Small World, and Mermaid before using our next Fast Pass for Mine Train. This was our first ride on Mine Train and it was Fantastic! The overall theming of Fantasy Land is great! The details are amazing. Take the time to enjoy them. The new added queues where also fun. We also rode Winnie the Pooh and checked out Belle's Enchanted Tale. We moved on to Dumbo and loved the new circus area as well. Barnstormer was also a lot of fun! We also got in Buzz Light Year, Monsters Laugh In and Space Mountain. We watched Wishes from Fantasy Land and took in a few more rides before leaving for the day.
Not bad for getting there in the afternoon.

One thing I would like to mention. Before our trip I noticed a lot of negativity on this board. Also I had to laugh at all the people who "panic" about not getting reservations or Fast Passes etc.
All I can say is......RELAX!
Yes, planning is a most do. But do not expect everything to go 100% as you planned.
This trip did not!
You can not plan for crowds. Delays. Rides breaking down. Time it will take to get from one attraction to the next etc. It is your vacation so ENJOY! Plan but do not be obsessive with it. Everything will work out just fine. Just be flexible and go with the flow. Most importantly enjoy the magic, small details and your time with your family/spouse.

Next .......Animal Kingdom! (One of the most underrated Parks)

We were overlapping! See the mini trip report in the link in my signature. Agree that is was super hot and super crowded. We are planning to go back next September!

We were there the exact same dates - yes it was super hot! December 2016 for us next!

This is exactly why we do not go in the summer! :D But sounds like you had a lot of fun!

We were there June 6-12 and it rained for two of our evening. It was very hot, very crowded and DH was sick most of the trip. It was not our best trip and things did not go according to plan. Net June may be our last summer trip for awhile.

Sounds like a great trip!!

I am curious how the FP+ with 200 people getting into line impacted you. How long did you end up waiting then? You counted that many people in 10 minutes so was that the lenght of your wait? I am always very interested in the details of how FP+ impacts us as visitors so this is not meant to sound factious.

We were also there from the 13th to the 19th. Agree on the heat; it was too much and we will likely never attempt a summer trip again.

I have to say, tho, that I though FP+ worked very well for us. I was a FP+ skeptic; I had totally mastered the old system, so was leary going into this trip. I have to thank the people on this board, tho, because there is lots of great insight and tips for how to plan your day. This was our smoothest trip ever; and it was nice to not stress over getting to a park at rope drop. Despite the crowds, we really did not wait in very many long lines to speak of. I sort realized that about 3 or 4 days into the trip. I even moved our plans for Epcot from a 'get there at rope drop' plan to getting there at around 2 pm plan; and it was really nice. My daughter enjoyed the 'sleep in' day, and hanging at the pool. We never would have done that before b/c we would be rushing to get to Soarin' at rope drop. So, FP+ worked for us; the app was glitch tho; and they really should have more kiosks.
