I originally posted this on Disney Resorts because when I tried to post it here it kicked me off...let's see if this works now;

1/17/09:
Checked in to CSR around 12:45 and were upgraded to Cabanas 9B, room was ready and it was terrific, newly renovated. We didn't quite have a view but that didn't bother us since we were basically spending our first three days at the Wide World of Sports complex for the 3v3 soccer tournament. We did have access to the Business Club Lounge which was great since their coffee was delicious and we were able to grab snacks and fruit for the road whenever we wanted, oh and bottled water too. Perfect for the days on a soccer field!

DWWoS Complex: This place is amazing, we could not get over how huge it was. As for the All Star Sports Cafe, the food was delicious but we stuck to the same thing both days, pulled pork sandwich, water, chips and cookie, it was awesome, good size too - we split one the first day, the second day we each had one and were quite full in advance of our late dinner that night.

Dinner, Pepper Market - DH and I both just had soup and shared fries, it was tasty and we were pleased with the atmosphere but were exhausted from traveling and being on the fields all day.

1/18/09:
Breakfast, Maya Grill - food was good, typical buffet, the fruit was amazing, eggs a little runny, potatoes seemed to be missing the peppers and onions they were supposed to have, the french toast was delicious. Overall we enjoyed our meal here.

Dinner, Pepper Market - we met parents from the younger soccer team here for dinner - 6 adults, 5 kids - four of us had the rib eye with grilled veggies, french fries and drinks, all was delicious, everyone agreed. The kids loved the kids food choices but opted for the chicken curry stir fry and one had some of my rib eye (hungry 10-year olds!).

1/19/09:
Back to WWoS Complex for the final games for the older guys - they won the tournament for the second year in a row - go LMSC Gunners (U14 Boys). I checked in at GF in between games and it worked out well. We were upgraded from a Garden View room to a Lagoon View with a view of Space Mountain and partial view of the castle (#8423 - Boca Chica building). I guess it helps to tell the CM you are celebrating your anniversary and that you also just spent 3 days on a soccer field watching kids who aren't yours because you have no children. We loved the room and that night when we returned, we returned to a bottle of champagne and a card from Mickey and Minnie wishing us a Happy Anniversary (so cute!!!)

Lunch/Snack - we ate lunch at Gasparilla Grill, DH had the Southwest Chicken Sandwich (delicious) and I had the Jerk Chicken Salad (not so much, the mayo was too sweet, it wasn't spicy as I had hoped). Either way, food was good and it was just what we needed, something quick before going to MK.

MK - arrived around 3:30PM, first stop, Space Mountain. We had a 10 minute wait which we joked was basically the time it took to walk from the entrance to the loading area. DH was too small to go on this ride in 1975 when it opened, but his sister wasn't so she tormented him the entire trip, needless to say after he finally rode it he said "I'm not so sure I could have handled that as a 9 year old, that was a little scary." We then went over to ride Small World, Mad Tea Party, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain, Haunted Mansion and I think one more. We watched the parade in FrontierLand and the fireworks from the main gate.

Dinner, Chef Mickey's - we had an 8:45 reservation which really worked out because the tables were emptying out and we didn't have to battle as many kids to get photos with the characters - Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy and Pluto were all there, we got tons of photos and had a blast. The food was delicious - the salmon, pork loin and beef were all fantastic. We would totally go back here!

Monorail, DH and I got to ride up front with the pilot which DH thought was so cool, we had a blast and got our co-pilot's card after we got back to GF! DH and I both loved it!

Breakfast - GFC, we ate here all three mornings and the food was delicious. DH had the American each morning, eggs, bacon, toast and potatoes with juice and coffee *yum* and I had the French Toast twice and the American once, all the food was amazing and convenient since we were heading out to the parks each morning.

Epcot - we got there and got our fast passes for Soarin', headed off to Imagination, Living Seas w/ Nemo and Friends, Honey I Shrunk the Audience and then got on Soarin' - we loved that ride and both agreed it was hands down our favorite!! We then did the single rider line at Test Track and ended up in the same car together, we were in line for about 40 minutes and had a blast on the ride. From there we went to World Showcase, let me tell you it was FREEZING that day, we made it as far as Germany, had a beer and a non-super-pretzel pretzel and then decided to head back to the GF. We were supposed to have dinner at Rose & Crown Dining Room but honestly we didn't have enough clothes with us to put on to go back unless we took the comforter with us from the bed!

DTD - we walked around DTD and just picked up a few trinkets for people at home, and ourselves, it was relaxing.

Dinner, Narcoossee's - fantastic time, our waitress Rita was very nice, we told them it was our anniversary when we made the reservation. DH had the crab cakes, surf & turf and no dessert (too full), he said the surf & turf was delicious but that he should have told them to put the sauce on the side of the crab cakes, there was just too much. I had the buttermilk shrimp and crab crusted flounder, and a pecan tart for dessert. All were delicious, and Rita even set up our dessert plate and coffee cups as a Mickey head, so cute! We watched the fireworks and the light show from our table that night.

AK - It was FREEZING, 32 degrees that morning, ouch. But, we got there right at Rope Drop which was cool because 1. I'd never seen a rope drop before and 2. this was a park that I had never been to, and DH hadn't either (he'd only been to MK before this trip). We went right to the Safari, then to Everest which we waited maybe 25 minutes for and thought that ride was AMAZING! Then we hit the Dinosaur ride which we both thought was great, scarier than I expected and I don't scare easily! It was awesome.

DHS - here we just went to Indiana Jones, Lights, Motors, Action! and the Muppets in 3D, very fun. We were wiped out after this and headed back to GF and just had dinner in Gasperilla Grill again, watched the fireworks from our table which was perfect. We had lunch at 50s Prime Time which was good (DH had salad I had chicken soup as appetizers, we both had chicken sandwiches, DH had fruit for dessert I had the bread pudding which was OK). Our waitress wasn't quite in to the theme but we got a kick out of the waiter at the next station, as well as the waitress in the station next to where we were seated, she took the cell phones of two young girls who were texting at the table and tried to give them to the people seated near us, hilarious!

MK - they had EMH this morning but we got there around 8:45 instead. Hit Space Mountain twice, 10 minute wait each time, off to Peter Pan's Flight, Jungle Cruise, the People Mover (Tomorrowland Transit Authority) - family favorite, had to go on, Big Thunder Mountain and two other rides that I just can't remember now. Then back to the hotel, checked out and we were off to the airport.

We were sad to go but we had a blast, we'll go back again soon I can tell! Thanks to everyone on the boards for all your help! Take care. If you have questions, just let me know!!! pixiedust:

P.S. - photos will come later, I haven't downloaded them yet.
