Trip Reporters

Fellow typers,

just a word to say how much I appreciate yer efforts on the Trip Reports Board - we know how much time,effort and love goes there.

I'm way behind all those wonderful Florida accounts at the mo, due to work issues, but it's not that I don't value yer contributions.
I think a report should be savoured and read at a pace that allows me to catch the pace and atmosphere of yer holiday experience. It's coz I can't devote the time I need to read them all properly that I'm not supportin yer at the mo, not that I don't want to.

I've also got waaaay behind for various reasons and I too take ages to read them as I like to savour each one - I am also very guilty at not posting to each report I read.

I tend to print them off and read them on the train to and from work.

Much better than the doom and gloom in the papers!

However - I do get get funny looks when I burst out laughing at some points though.

At the moment, I'm soooo far behind, but thanks to the black dots being back, I can find where I left off.

Keep 'em coming - I know how time consuming it can be.

I couldn't agree more with everyone above - like Bonzo I print mine out at work and either read whilst nibbling on my lunch, or take home so Darryl can also read.

Just to busy at work now that I'm not even getting time to print out . . . still, I haven't just subscribed to unlimited AOL at home for nothing

Another hand up here for not reading as much as I should - but I will get round to them all.

I also must get back on the ball with grouping them and popping the reports onto the Index as I find this really helpful....... but if no one else uses it, then well.... what do you all think - should the index be updated or is it just as easy to look through the pages?

Opinions would be helpful?

Neil - no problem, if it's useful to you, then i'll continue It just might take me a while as it is unbelievably time consuming to do all the links, but i'll work at it

If, by the way, any one has links to their trip reports and they are not already on the index - them mail if you could mail them to me at janicewarren@btconnect.com it would make it a lot simpler

When some of them are clearly masterpieces that should be published, it's hard to know if people are really interested in the 'ordinary' reports.

I've lost a bit of momentum on mine because it seemed a little ho-hum, and I am thinking 'does anyone really want to read this drivel'.
Maybe I need a ghost-writer to liven it up a bit.

That's sactly what I meant Bev. i think we all get like that after a while as the writin up part of the report can become chore-like after a while and without regular encouragement, we can feel' is it worth it?' - IT ALWAYS IS!

I love readin all the reports and get something out of them all. I just try to remember we can't all be Stringers and do mine for me. The plan is the reports may not be everyone's cup of tea and might be forgotten tomorrow but will always be there for me to relive me holiday whenver I need it - which has been loads lately.

Reports Index - Yer welcome, Jan- the index is a great idea. When i get behind like this I tend to link a full set of reports in me favourites so I can wade through them at me leisure. I'll send you the links of any I do.

I think the index is also a good idea for new folk who are joining us - there is lots and lots of valuable info in the trip reports - we just need to remember to direct people to look there too!

...and you can add me to the list of "I really, really enjoy reading all of the trip reports but feel guilty that I don't always post to all of them" readers.

Sometimes I will have read a whole load off-line and then try to post to them each individually, but then think that looks a bit suspect as the replies are only a minute apart - it looks as though I haven't really read them at all!

You took the words right out of my mouth (great title for a song that). I'm WAY behind on reading the TRs but at least I've got lots to look forward to and they do bring my own holiday back to life a bit. Sigh.
I've made a mid-year’s resolution – to reply to all the reports, even if it’s only the final instalment. And it WILL fare better than the New Year’s ones (always the same ones) I make every year…..!

I love the trip reports, have picked up so many tips. In 1999 we go so much more from WDW with all the extras.
I wrote ours in 1999 and read them again and again, brings back so many good memories.

I must admit my favourate parts are always the trip out and the first few days and read them all, but guilty at not posting replies.

I too have spent many happy hours reading trip reports and for a long while had read every single one.

For the last couple of months my time online is very limited so I use it to keep up to date with the board.The good thing is the reports will still be there when I have some time to myself to read them properly and do them justice

I really enjoy reading the trip reports but I must admit that I do not post replies to all of them - just because I cannot always think of something useful to say

Please keep going with the index as it makes them much easier to find.

If I can get round to doing trip reports after this summers trip (and I really will try hard), I will try to send you the links Janice.
