Wow I missed those last postings and photos!....I'm glad she isn't worried about her scars....keep reinforcing that! Hope things are well!
Well, Mikella just got over Strep, vomiting, a cold all about in the span of a week. All of which triggered some residual joint pain from her HSP. I am SO done with winter!!! Seriously!!! We just can't catch a break lately.
Still waiting to hear back from Make a Wish. They said it would take 2-4 weeks to hear something and this week will be 5 weeks since they were here. Trying to decide how long to wait before I become annoying and bug them again?

Less than a MONTH!!!! I hope you are going to post more plans for us to read, if you have time. You must be SOOOOOOO Excited!!!![]()
I am SOOOOOOO excited for you,Sorry things have been crazy at our house! We finally told the girls last night. Wanted to take lots of pictures, but our camera batteries died and although we had tons of batteries which showed "good" on the tester, none had enough juice for the camera.
I bought each girl a new suitcase with wheels (figuring they are now each old enough to haul their own suitcase through the airport!)Aleah got a rolling duffle and Gabreilla got a rolling backpack from Target. Inside I made each an Activity Book and Journal from links on the DIS. The Activity Book had a cover with the names of all the places we'd be visiting and the Journal got put inside a Mickey Folder. I also cut out Mickey Heads and attached a note from Mickey saying he couldn't wait to see them in less than a month! I copied a Mickey signature I found online. I also stuck a water toy inside for each of them as well. (Had it not been Easter weekend and I had just bought a bunch of stuff for their baskets I probably would've put more "stuff" inside the suitcase.)
DH brings the bags down covered by a blanket. We do a big unveil and the girls are excited...about the suitcases!!!Despite pulling everything out they still don't seem to get it. We READ the Mickey letter TO them...and no one is listening. We ask Aleah if she knows what we just said and she stares blankly and goes "No..."
After a few minutes, we try to say as plainly and loudly as possible "YOU ARE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD IN MAY!!! HELLOOOOO!!!!!" Now they start to get more excited. Gabriella starts doing a booty dance and Aleah breaks into the Sprinkler.
(Don't ask me where she learned that, isn't that from the 80's?) My cousin Abby is going on the trip with us, so she was here as well. She got a little teared up during the "reveal" so we were happy at least someone was moved.
Because we were waiting for Abby to get here, we told them right before bedtime. By this time Gabreilla was so excited she just couldn't stop talking. She was very worried about 1- Getting a box of crayons for the plane ride. IN A BOX. 2- Getting a window seat on the plane ("Do they have windows on planes? I like to look at stuff!" 3- Making sure we weren't going to Disney World WHEN WE WOKE UP. No matter how many times we said "in May", "after your dance recital" or "when school was done" she kept asking "Can we go when we wake up?" The next morning when I put a Disney shirt on her she asked "Is this because we're going to Disney World today?"
Obviously, our next task is creating a countdown calendar!! They are very excited....I'll post pictures when I get some taken!
