We visited WWHP from July 19 through the 22nd and really appreciated all the information we received from this forum and wanted to post what we learned. We stayed on site and went to early opening, one day was at 8:00 the other two days were at 7:30. For each day people lined up to get into IOA at the two sides and there were turnstills at the center that were not manned. On two of the days shortly before opening they manned the center turnstills and told people they could move over to line up there as well. We found that starting out in the line closest to the center turnstills positioned us well to become first in line when the center ones were manned.
We loved the rides and the details in depicting the wizarding world. Lots of stuff is easy to miss. In the gift shop you spill out into after riding FJ there is a case with maurauder's map, make sure you check it out, it is a working copy of the map.
The stores in WWHP were crowded and we determined that the main universal store at the entrance to the park carried some of the HP stuff including some stuff not carried in the WWHP part. My daughter found a mug shapped like hedwig the owl there that she loved.
We had a great visit and liked the hard rock hotel.
