The characters are
DH -- go with the flow when in Disney-- whatever you want Dear
ME -- can I put one more thing to do in this day
DD -- 6 turning 7, yahoo I'm at Disney
DS -- am I tall enough to ride the ride? 4 years old
Second time we have took the 1 PM flight, we are 2 hours from the airport, smooth ride up, but wait all the parking lots are full, snap decision, throw me and the kids out, I'll check in, you go to the remote parking lot and come back to us. Good decision at MDW, I'm checked in outside in less then 10 minutes, had 2 suitcases and 2 carseats and one rolling carry on. And yes the DH made it back timely. Off to McDonalds in the airport, conveinently next to our terminal. Picked up the rental car Dollar, quick also, drove to Disney in a small traffic jam and a 6 minute detour, oops Disney is thatta way.
First night checked in Carribean beach, nice clean room, toilet was loud, GREAT VIEW, took the kids to the pool, swam for a hour, husband went to order the pizza, GOOD pizza, but they messed up the order so they gave him two large pizza for one. Is this Disney magic? I would of happily given a whole pizza to another family but he brought them both into the room, and I thought would you take it after it was in someones room, so I did my best tostuff myself and DS ate all the pepperonis he wanted. Hey, I hear freworks, in PJ's, not DH, we run to the beach hammock, and watch the top of the fireworks, then off to bed.
Saturday -- drive to Magic Kingdom, cause we couldn't figure out which way to go to BEACH club, I surprised my non married SIL with a 40th/Christmas gift flight and hotel to disney on Thur/Fri/Sat so Sat we go to Disney -- yikes the crowds, the lines, NEVER SAT AGAIN, But we ate at Cindy's at 9AM it was again wonderful, good princess interaction, Cindy was downstairs with the Christmas tree. And this year I got to eat too, I really liked the food, the kids did not like the french toast, it was mostly fried something -- good fresh fruit and
they served me pop. And they gave both my SIL and DD birthday cards and all the princesses signed them, nice. Nice server too. I do believe DH liked being called my lord.
Sat --the rides, the big rides, splash mountain, space mountain, bid thunder railroad had a hour wait, last year we waited under 15 minutes, so we passed. We rode rides in fantasy land and adventure land some 45 minute waits. We did get to see Captain Hook this time, quite a coo for the kids. We ate a late lunch at Peco Bills, got a hamburger and a chicken wrap and oops ordered extra fries, we walked right in so I missed everything comes with fries. It was good. Sunday night checked into Beach Club a Studio room. Liked it the bathroom was big, which was great, cause I had the flu later in the trip. My DS had it the Friday before our trip.
Sunday --we went to Sea World-- had 3 freeish tickets. Ate breakfast in
room. We rode the water ride there, got WET. Then saw Shamu and finished getting anything we had dry WET WET WET. Ah the kids were in heaven. We didn't eat any character meals there, we saw too many mixed reviews. Oh yeah we ate at a BBQ place, and a HUGE bird landed on my whole tray when DH quickly moved the children to see the Clidesdales horse go by and I was getting the napkins. YUCK. But they replaced everything free. Disney magic? Swam that night, loved the slide, the kids I mean.
Monday MGM My daughter got her facepainted, and we couldn't do anything until that was done. We all wore our Incredibles shirts Mr, Mrs, Voilet, and Dash, I was humored. We met Chicken little - too funny! We left our autograph book in the stoller, so I had him autograph a chicken little disney dollar. We ate at Sci-Fi theater -we enjoyed it -- everyone sang Happy Birthday to DH as she stood on the top of our car -- she received a Magical moments certificate. She was really excited and she got a free ice cream. We shared two meals and had two deserts I think the bill was $46. Last year we did not make it to Hunny I shunk the Kids, this year we did, and guess what it is not a ride, so it did take a little bit to get out of there. Luckily I knew Buzz was popping out before the parade. So DH and I ran down there DD chose not to go, we saw Buzz, Woody, Jessie and two green army men. It was fun to watch the excitement on the little boys facing when the characters came out. Off to Epcot for Princess Storybook meal.
Ok we picked the salmon, different, I would not get it again. My kids would not eat anything from their plate, we picked hot dogs. My DD ate bread from my husbands, and DS ate things from the buffet from my plate. Princess interaction was good very quick, they did listen when the children told them pieces of princess and prince advice?! 102 with tip. Getting in, everyone stands at the entrances and the staff quietly announces your name, so most everyone that night had one spouse at the entrance and one with the children. Many girls did dress up. Mine does not like to, hey works me. We did stay at DH suggestion for fireworks, our kids usually go to bed at 8 pm at the latest. Very, very nice we oh and ahhed and swayed to the music. I figured at least one more year before we would see them. Off to bed, again drove to the park, we had a Nemo attenta thingy, which we LOVED. It was fast back to our hotel. One little girl was crying because she had to get on a bus? The dad said "I know I know" the lines can be long! DH and I just looked at each other what was that?
