Today we left on the 10:05 plane from Huntsville, AL on a direct flight to Orlando. It was my 3rd time to go....i went in June 2002 and in 1985. It was Steph's 1st time and sarah's 2nd time(she went when she was in 4th grade.
It was my first time to fly so i was a bit scared...but our flight was great. It took about 1 hr and 1/2. I drove down in 2002 and it took about 13 hours!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, we had booked our trip through a travel agency so we had our Mears shuttle tickets, our room, and our ultimate park hopper tickets all taken care of. We got to our hotel (All Stars Movies) at about 1:30. We stayed in the Fantasia section of the hotel. It was beautiful, but the rooms were a bit smaller than we expected (but we were not in the rooms enough to care). We immediately dropped off our suitcases and we got a bite to eat in the food court. I got a chicken caeser salad and it was VERY good! As soon as we ate, we went to Magic Kingdom. We really enjoyed to Disney shuttles. We never had to wait over 10 minutes for a ride.
We got to magic kingdom at about 3:30 and we took lots of pics of the castle Then the characters came out and we got our pics made with chip and dale. We went to Tomorrowland and we got a fastpass for Buzz Lightyear. We then got in line for space mountain. The wait time said 40 minutes but we only waited for about 25. Then we rode Astro orbiters and the Carousel of Progress. (The astro orbiters made me dizzy and the Carousel of Progress was interesting but the song was sooo annoying)!! We then used our fastpass for Buzz. I WON!!!!! We also rode the TTA. I really enjoyed it although my friends did not.
At 7:00 we went ahead and sat down for Spectromagic. It did not start until 8:00 but we didn't want to miss getting a good spot. We sat in front of the castle and the parade was AWESOME. Steph and Sarah got these wands that lit up and changed colors!! After the parade we got ice cream and we stood on main street for the fireworks. They were SOOO good. I had tears in my eyes....so did sarah!!! Afterwards, we went back to the hotel and got ready for Day 2...a full day at MAGIC KINGDOM
