Had a wonderful trip, just too short!!! Aren't they all?
Thursday: arrived at the airport and our Tiffany Towncar was waiting for us. Got to CBR around 4:30 and checked in with no problems. We were in Bldg 16 in Barbados--a goodly hike to the food court so we really didn't go there too much. They tried to send our luggage to the wrong room, but it was straightened out within an hour. Ate at the Captain's Tavern for dinner---wonderful food, but our daughter had a stomach ache, and didn't eat very much. Had to go buy some Pepto Bismal and Children's Mylanta from the gift shop--our daughter used her Disney Dollars to buy a stuffed Timon and Pumba---she is really enamoured of them. Tried to make it an early evening.

Friday---woke up to the smell of the wild fires in our room. CBR really isn't very far from where the Epcot fire started. We could see the helicopters dumping water on the fires. Went to MGM. Rode ToT 1st---our daughter HATED it--screamed the whole time, and didn't forgive us for the next 48 hours. RnR broke down while I was in line, but the CM's passed out Fastpasses to return later. Played WWTBAM-PI---that was GREAT!!! I'm ineligible for the hotseat, being a CM, but that didn't matter to me! I did get the 10th highest score once!!! Saw the Star Wars parade. We ate at Hollywood and Vine---this was a big hit since our daughter got to dance with Goofy. The buffet was VERY good, the food hot, plentiful and a had a great variety from which to choose. Our daughter got several autographs and pictures with the characters. Rode Star Tours. And took pictures and got autographs from the Star Wars characters. After a rest in the room, we went to Epcot to eat at Garden Grille---the mashed potatos and flank steak are outstanding. It is really neat to be on the moving dining room, we had almost made 1 full revolution by the time we were finished with our dinner. Hopped on the monorail to the TTC and transferred to the MK monorail---it took forever, but we finally got to the MK and to our meeting place (I did have on my ears!!!) Met up with King Triton, Chewie8Solo and AKelley. What terrific people Our kids played while we hung out, talked took pictures and waited for MrsMickeyMouse and Praise2Him. Afterwards we all split up---King Triton and family went to eat at Tony's, AKelley and Chewie8Solo and family went to purchase E tickets and we went to trade our Etickets in for wrist bands. Our daughter also got her "It's My Birthday" pin, which she wore proudly, and the CM's exclaimed over! Our daughter said she didn't want to see the parade, so we spent that time in Fantasyland riding--you could walk onto almost anything. We rode the Teacups, Winnie the Pooh, and she even got to go the front of the line at Peter Pan, with her birthday button We rode the Haunted Mansion, and then went to watch the fireworks from Liberty Square---I was really surprised with the dry conditions, and fires that they even had the fireworks, but they were spectacular as always!!! During Eticket time, we rode Splash Mountain---we got to sit in the front, and believe me---we were SOAKED!!!! We then went on Big Thunder, saw Country Bear Jamboree, rode Buzz several times, rode Astro Orbiter, and the Transit Authority. We decided to save Space Mountain for EE morning on Monday, as it seems to be rougher later in the day. After some transportation mixups (rode the monorail back to the TTC only to find out that the busses were back at the MK---duh! and had to ride back again), we made it back to the room around 1:30 am.

Saturday--slept in a little and then went to Epcot. Picked up our fastpasses for Test Track, and then rode Maelstrom. We ate an early lunch at San Angel Inn. By the time we were finished it was time to go ride Test Track---we picked up fastpasses for Listen to the Land on our way, rode Test Track and then headed over to ride the Land. After showering in the room, we took our daughter to the Neverland Club. Our night on the town was beginning We rode the bus to Animal Kingdom Lodge for our 6pm seating at Boma!!! This place has the most INCREDIBLE food!!! The Oxtail Stew, and the Seafood Chowder were definitely highlights!!! The roasted pork melted in your mouth!!! The desserts were delectible---most especially the zebra domes---you really have to try those!!! Afterwards, we explored the resort--it is gorgeous!!! We went outside to look out over the Savannah---we saw some animals, but most did not get there until the 22nd, so we will definitely make sure we visit again on our next trip! We then went to DD, where we were supposed to meet up with my husband's relatives---I was so full and tired, all I really wanted to do was go back to CBR...but off we went---by the time we finally caught up with them, we had missed the shows at the Adventurer's Club, and we had about 1/2 hour to visit---it was not the highlight of my trip. We ended up having to take a cab from PI to the Poly to pick up our daughter on time, since the busses were not being very prompt. The driver was great--telling us about the Epcot fire, and showing us where it was. He waited while we picked our daughter up, and then drove us to CBR--all in all it cost about $35 with the tip, but was worth it so we weren't late getting her!!! It was another late night!!! And we had an early morning planned for Sunday!

Sunday--met my sister in law and neice at the bus stop at 7am for AK. Hubby was running late, so I sent our daughter ahead with her relatives and waited for the next bus--we were in plenty of time for the opening ceremonies. The relatives and our Daughter went ahead and rode the Safari so they could get to the Lion King Show at 8:50 while hubby and I got the stroller. We rode the Safari---all of the animals were out, too!!! Both the male and female lions were lounging on the rocks this time. All of the animals were quite active!!! When everyone met up after the Lion King, we rode Dinosaur--my daughter wouldn't ride it and after the disaster of ToT, we sure didn't push the issue!!! I stayed with her and then rode afterwards with my niece. We then rode Kali River Rapids twice--everyone got totally soaked!!! The relatives went to see It's Tough to Be A Bug, and we ate at Flametree BBQ--we really like that place, and my daughter loves the PBJ sandwiches! Our daughter had a wonderful time in the Boneyard, while my hubby and I tried not to fall asleep! We then went back to the room for a much needed nap. We napped while our daughter watched Toon Disney (she was going through withdrawl ) Around 5pm we caught the bus to MGM and took the boat from there to the Beach Club---the Disney Transportation gods were actually working with us on that one We made it with plenty of time to spare! Our daughter fell asleep on the way, though. The host at Cape May (Adam) was wonderful and made sure we got a booth so she could continue sleeping, of course she woke up in a foul mood---after using the clam shells as puppets to talk to her, her mood improved and she ate a great dinner. While we were there, King Triton and his family came in and sat a couple of tables away. His darling daughter came and sat with our daughter during dinner---it made for a special time for both our daughters! We strolled through Epcot, stopping at a couple of shops, and then rode Spaceship Earth. We beat the Illuminations crowd to the bus, so we were able to go back to CBR right away. Finally an early night!!

Monday--EE morning at MK!!!! We were at the gates at 7am, and were some of the 1st through the gate. Sent hubby and Daughter ahead to ride Dumbo, while I got the stroller. We then rode Snow White, the Carousel, Peter Pan, Winnie the Pooh twice without getting off, grabbed a fast pass for Space Mountain, and rode Buzz. By that time it was time for Space Mountain and our daughter even rode it with her eyes open this time!!! She LOVED it!!! Wanted to go back on it in the front seat!!! We grabbed another fastpass on our way out, and went over to ride the Jungle Cruise and Pirates--Aladdin was not opening until Wednesday, so I guess we'll have to wait until next time for that one! We went back to ride Space Mountain, but it was broken down. We ate at Cosmic Ray's Stalight Lounge. Sonny Elclipse, the lounge lizard, is a trip!!! The burgers there were really good, and our daughter really enjoyed the corn dog nuggets! Since Space Mountain was still not running, we went to try Small World, but the line was too long to get on and still get to Belle's Storytime, so we went and sat in Belle's garden in the shade and waited. The only autograph my daughter specifically wanted this trip was Belle's...so at least she was able to get it! By this time MK was very crowded!!! We took a bus to DD and shopped. My daughter played in the fountains with the other kids for about 2 hours---I think she had had too much together time with the parents by then and needed to decompress!!! She had a fantastic time!!! After dropping off our packages in the room, we headed off to Epcot again--our goal was to ride Test Track again, which we did! We also got there in time to admire the beautiful topiaries of the characters and watch the dancing fountains! Another fairly early evening!

Tuesday---Alas, home today After packing and checking our luggage, we headed to the food court for breakfast and last minute souvenier shopping. We let our daughter wear her swim suit under her clothes and since we had 1 1/2 hours to kill before having to meet the Tiffany Towncar, we let her swim in the pool. Of course it was difficult to get her out when it was time to go, but it was worth it, because she really had a great time! Met the Tiffany Towncar at 1:30 and headed toward the airport and home!

We ended up cancelling a couple of our PS because of logistics, but I think that happens to everyone at one time or another. All in all it was a great trip, just more rushed than I usually like it. I think we have decided to save a little longer next time, stay at the Beach Club---more convenient,-rent a car, and stay at least a week There just are not enough hours in a day, if you know what I mean ?

HaPpY DaY!!!
