Here it is folks. I've started my trip report. I'll try to keep the naughty language to a minimum.

Saturday morning I awoke after a great nights sleep...after all..... Mom's snoring, while powerful, does not penetrate state lines. I say Saturday morning but we all know it was well after 10 am. Grateful for my magical expresso machine I made myself one powerful cup of coffee. I had stopped at Rix Cafe (at CSR) the night before to procure a tasty pastry for a quick breakfast, I also picked on the bourbon chicken I had saved from dinner the night before ....I ate it cold because I'm a firm believer that there should be some protein with my sugar at morning meal. I turned the tube on to watch the oh so cute and energetic Stacy and psych myself for the days ahead. Once fortified with food and a cute woman I dressed and ventured out to walk the grounds of CSR. It was beautiful. Our room was in the Cabana area, building B...to say it was convenient to everything would be an understatement. I loved it's location because it was soooooo central to the main building and the bus.It was not crowded at all because people were either working or at the parks. There seemed to be almost no children around. The peacefulness was palatible. I was thinking that Mom's gonna love it.
Speaking of Mom, she was due at 2:30 ish and I certainly did not want to miss being there when she got off DME...so I high tailed it over that way. A bus or two passed these were the buses picking people up. When a bus did finally arrive from the airport..Mom wasn't on it. I double checked but she's pretty hard to miss....so I waited some more. By this time I was ready to grab the first old lady deboarding the bus and call her MOM just to end the agony. Mom was lucky she was on that next bus.
There she stood, just like I saw her yesterday. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. I asked what she'd like to do first and she said: Eat! So off we went to Rix Cafe again and Mom got a salad and some water. I added a danish for the next day's breakfast. Mom immediately tried to pay me and I laughed as I boldly proclaimed...."I got it". (DDP was great).
After Mom ate we both refreshed our make up (don't want to scare the children do we?) and headed to Down Town Disney. Mom had only ever been to P.I...never to the MarketPlace area. I pointed out the Lego Sculptures, the new T-Rex Restaurant, and then told her dinner that night was at Fulton's Crab House. While Fulton's is not on the DDP, Mom really wanted lobster (as did I). Unfortunately it wasn't that good...in fact it was pretty bland...but the POTATOES!!!! OH MY GOD!! THEY WERE AMAZING!! That's right I am raving about a spud! They were small red potatoes that the waiter said were steamed and they where the creamiest, most flavorful taters to ever pass my lips. dessert was also beyond words good. Mom and I shared chocolate creme brulee...and I swear, I'd pass up sex for an evening for this delight...give me sex and the creme brulee and I'll know I died and went to heaven.
Back at the resort, Mom and I hunker down for bed. Tomorrow's a big day: Animal Kingdom and Epcot. Mom's never been to AK!

Oh, It's there somewhere.....I tried to find it but apparently I use this board waaaay too much. Have no fear, I will feature them in my trippy.

I read that...I think it was either the photos thread or the "vote for Wally" thread.

Will there be a goat in this TR?

It took my hours to convince my Mom I wasn't sleeping with a goat! It's a sore subject for me now.:sad2: :sad2:

Mom makes the most god awful sounds in the morning and I have to remind myself that I'll be old too someday. I make us coffee then set about dressing. Mom and I have packed a similar wardrobe in brown and tan colors. We look like aged Bobsey Twins. Oh well...if they can't take a joke.....
Our bus arrives quickly and Mom says she wants to ride Everest. Our dialogue goes something like this:
Mom: I want to ride that
Me: It's the only ride I rode with Tara that made me almost lose my cookies.
Me: Look Ma, the drop is pretty steep
Mom: We can ride it.
Me: (really discouraged now)It goes backwards....
Mom:No, no. I want to ride it.
Please remember this conversation it is crucial to the story.
I think that once I show her the ride she'll chicken out and I'll be spared....
I'm thinking we'll start tame and we enter It's A Bug's Life. Mom likes it, it made her smile. Next we ride Dinosaur and Mom thinks it's a bit rough. I agree...but we like it just the same.
Lunch is at Yak and Yeti. We tell the chef about Mom's aversion to pineapple and he points out that the vegetables are soaked in pineapple juice after prep but that he'll make hers special. I have Honey Chicken and while it's good, I wouldn't crave it again. Mom had the Mahi-Mahi....she liked it ok, but no raves for that either.
Mom shops in the small stall nearby and buys a shirt for James and my Step-Dad. Our deal is that she can buy the souvenirs because she feels bad that I have treated her to such a huge gift. I am giddy when we have them sent to our room.
We ride Kali River Rapids, Kilimanjaro Safari, and wander through some of the various trails. I realize Mom is not going to let me off the hook for Everest but I try one last time to disuade her:
Me: If we get to the front of the line you can use the chicken exit if you change your mind.
We ride. I hold my cookies down and as I help the wobbly woman besides me off the ride I can see her face is red...red and angry. She says, loud as you please..and I quote:
YOU FINK!! (She really dropped the "F" bomb, but this is a family board and I have to imply what she said....but you get it she said "F"!!!!) You made me ride that ride!!!!!! I was prepared for that. I know my Mother. I took her aside and sweetly pointed out that nay, it was she who wanted to ride and it was I who tried talking her out of it. Next time, she should try listening to me.

Oooh! I like your mom!

She doesn't listen to what you say and blames everything on you!

She sounds like Wally!

:rotfl2:

I swear those were her words verbatim. I did not juice it up for comic effect. My Mom is a BULL!
