Trip report for first 30 minutes (Early Entry and PhotoPass+)

Checked in and was told starting Monday (July 16) hotel guests have early entry either day into either park. Luckily I have APEE tomorrow!

I tried to exchange my voucher at Goofy's Kitchen and was told I can only exchange in either park. They sell this PP+ but don't have lanyards and special cards so even those buying there need to hot DL or DCA to redeem.

Happy for hotel guests, and quite bummed for my own family. I was hoping the APEE exclusivity would last until the 23rd and 24th, when we are scheduled.

Does this mean if you stay onsite, you will have EMH at DCA or DL any day of the week? For example, I can go to DL an hour early for EMH on a Monday instead of a Tuesday to avoid crowds with MM.

From what I was told, hotel guests can enter either park, any day at 7 am. I didn't ask how long this would last but it is a big perk for hotel guests.

Yes. There was a thread recently that said APEE was not very popular, so they were going to allow hotel guests to experience EMH during APEE at either park.

For a limited time, from July 16 through September 13, EMH for DLR Hotel Guests has been extended to seven days a week at both parks, allowing DLR Hotel Guests to enter either or both parks an hour before the general public. During this time, the AP EE event will still require an advanced online reservation, with EE restricted to certain days, and for only one-time at each park until the event ends. Of course, if the AP holder is a registered DLR Hotel Guest, they would be using EMH instead of EE. There is no change for MM. As they did before July 16, Club 33 members can make use of EMH and MM anytime, and EE without an advanced reservation.

The limited time extended EMH for DLR Hotel Guests ends on September 13, coinciding with the end of the summer AP EE event. Starting September 14, EMH for DLR Hotel Guests will revert back to Sun, Tue, Thu, Sat for DL, and Mon, Wed, Fri for DCA.

We will be visiting DLR from Sunday, September 16 - Wednesday, September 19, staying at the GC. Although we'll just miss the extended EMH, we're hoping for a lower crowd level, cooler weather, and being able to see the Halloween decorated HMNBC, SMGG, and a ghostly ToT starting September 14. Cant wait to get there!

It seems Disney has extended the end date for EMH. It will now end on September 29. Starting September 30, EMH will revert back to Sun, Tue, Thu, Sat for DL, and Mon, Wed, Fri for DCA.

So far, there has been no extension for the APEE event dates.
