Wow!! I will start off with that. We had a fantasic time on the Wonder. I hade a chance to meet 3 other dis board members and their children. That was fun to finally meet face to face.
The weather was perfect on all days. our dinner rotation was TAP and food was very nice and our servers were fine. nothing super special, but very nice. We did have one uncomfortable moment with our tablemates who did not want us (my dd 17 and myself) to sit with them. But Ivan was very good to us and sat us at a table alone. the table mates made such a fuss about having others at their table and then did not show up again for dinner for the next 2 nights according to Ivan. since we no longer had a table # Ivan made sure we were taken care of each night.
We went to all the shows which were fab We enjoyed all 3.
We were not at all thrilled with nassau, we did a city tour. I am glad I went because I would have wondered about it, but was disapointed in everything from the van driver and tour.
Castaway Cay was by far the best part of the trip. It was INCREDIBLE !! We almost did't doc because of high winds but did make it. around 10:30 am. We only went to the family beach, that was so fun. The food was great. all in all just a fantastic day on the island.
The service on the ship was great, Coffee grounds for teens was were my 17 yr old went and had fun but thought the staff there was not all that attentive and she felt they talked down to the teens.
the ds went to oceaners club he is 10 he only went 2 times, he had fun but wanted to hang out with me.
our state room hostess was nice, fun towel animals.
I tipped only the recomended amount and was worried at breakfast the last morning I was going to be given the cold shouder, but did not. they were still nice to us as they had been.
If you have questions ask away. I am home now we did spend 5 days at Port orleans french quarter after our cruise, and that was great as well.
Thank you all again for your help.
It is fun to give you all a report,
tina

Thanks for the trip report. We are going on the Wonder soon so I am reading all I can to prepare.

Too bad your tablemates were so rude- it is their loss.

When and where did you do your DIS meet?

You should report on POFQ over on the resorts forum. Many have been asking for reports.

Thanks!!! :sunny:

Hi-thank you for your great report! I do have a question. You went on the city tour in Nassau and it is the excursion we have been considering for our family of four. I thought it might give us some insight and information about Nassau and it's historical places. (educatinal experience for DD's 9 and 6) Can you give me a little more detail about it and if you feel like it's really worth it or not.

TIA!! :)

the reason I wanted to take the city tour was for its historical value, however if you want to get history I would get it online, the truth, it wasn't very historical, interesting, nothing of much value. I am really sorry to say that. I love history and always take the kids 10 & 17 to see historical aspects of everywhere we go. But please get more opinions as this is only mine. it was not worth the $

Thanks for the info. We were just thinking the same as you, to give the kids some historical and informative info on a different country. We are still undecided. Perhaps we'll just look into something else. Thank you for your opinion on the tour. :)

Tina,
It was so nice to meet you and the kids on the ship! DS1 had fun with Nate on the island.
