Saturday 7 April
After a quiet day on Good Friday we spent Easter Saturday in the main park. It was packed. Rode autopia early before queue too long and then Buzz with FP. Then we waited for the character train. The train drives up main street - but we found it best to wait near the castle. The characters get off and sign books but it was rather stressful with huge crowds round them. DD's dived into the crowds and usually managed to come out with a signature - it was all too much for DS. The train appears 4 times a day and it seems like the same characters are on the train each time. They vary slightly from day to day. Next we just got into the first Tarzan show - really good. Snacks for lunch again before gong on river boat in the afternoon - a lovely ride with a different perspective on Frontierland. At about 3pm picked up FP for BTM at 8.30pm so we could ride this at dusk. We then took the train to val d'europe for a break and had tea in Mcdonalds there. When we got back to the park we had missed candlabration yet again! We went on some fantasyland rides and POTC twice because queue so short. Then it was time for BTM - absolutely lovey riding this at dusk. The park at night was the highlight of my holiday - the castle lit up, adventureland lanterns - beautiful. We stayed until closing time at 10pm. Easter Sunday was a blackout day for our passes so we visited Provins.
Monday 9 April
We got to the park in time for rope drop - although EMH were on so the cast members at the ropes had to keep checking everyone's tickets to see who was allowed in and who had to wait. Did usual FP for buzz first thing and went on star tours again. Had lunch at Mcdonalds and spent the afternoon in the studios park. Rushed back to main park for Candlabration at 6.00pm. It would have been better in the dark because it was difficult to see candles lighting up. We then bought souvenirs, gifts etc - kids had waited all week for this - so took a long time! DH heard announcement that there would be special candlabration at 9pm. This was much better in the dark and a lovely was to finish our Disney visit.
