We have 8am breakfast at Cafe Mickey booked, and arrive there a few minutes early. When the characters come out, Prince John walks up behind DD and taps her (quite hard) on the head, which makes DD hysterical. We calm her down and then Mickey comes over, but she shouts 'No!' at him, so I explain that she doesn't like to be touched, so he sits down next to her and we take some pictures and eventually she waves at him and then says 'Bye' as he goes.
After that, it goes a little better as long as the characters don't touch her (some are very good and hold their hands out which gives her the option not to touch them). After a while I sit her on my lap which makes her feel a bit better and just before we leave Tigger comes over and she touches her hand and then gives him a kiss:love:
The food was good and I really recommend this as a good way to meet the characters - I also managed to stuff a couple of cakes and brownies into my bag for later!
We go back to the hotel and check out of our room and then go to the park. First stop Small, small World and the France telecom room - again! Then Teacups. DH goes on Indiana Jones, but DD starts crying because of the screaming from the ride and doesn't want Daddy to do it, but a few minutes later he is back.
Next is the Mark Twain which DD really enjoyed, especially the baby ducks on the lake! DD has a walk around the fort which she likes and then we decide to have lunch at the Lucky Nugget.
When we go in it is nearly empty, but they put us sitting at the bar. We explain that DD is disabled and can't sit on a stool, but they say it is impossible for us to sit at a table! The guy walks off, so DH says 'sit down at a table anyway!' and then a lady comes over and says we can't sit there because the tables are for 4 people, not 3. We explain again and she says that we should have made that clear when we booked - but we hadn't booked - eventually she says OK, but by that time we are feeling kind of embarrased and awkward so we decide to leave.
We go to the BBQ cookout where we have to send the food back because it is cold (we sound like serial complainers, but we're not really) and then while we are eating there is a mouse running round under the tables - by this time we are just laughing at our bad luck with food!
After lunch DD falls asleep in the pushchair, so we do some shopping in Main Street. The Character express goes past and wakes up DD, so we get some ice cream. After ice cream it's back to SSW and two more trips around the France Telecom room!:) and then a quick go on Casey Jr. DD holds her ears and looks concerned around the whole ride, then when she gets off, she smiles and says 'ride fun!'.
We decide to head over to the studio before the parade starts and traps us, and there we meet Sully from Monsters Inc and Chip & Dale, sit down and have a coffee and then do the Flying Carpets ride (which I do twice because I've never done it before and I liked it).
We then go in the Animation room where DD loves playing with the voice recording and colouring computer screens.
By this time it is time to go and catch our train, and so we leave happy and tired (and looking forward to a meal without fries).

Great that the characters must have had a 'pow wow' and as a result avoided touching your daughter unless invited to!

I don't think you are a serial complainer at all! It's really not too much to expect hot food and god manners surely? As I said before, however, you do seem to have been unlucky in your choice of restaurant.

Regarding fries, I don't recall them being on the menu at Belle Notte popcorn:: and we certainly didn't eat fries at every meal (thinking back we had them 4 times while we were away, twice at Annette's and 2 other times as a snack in the evenings).

A lot of it was bad luck and bad choices - unfortunately all DD wanted to eat was ham and cheese sandwiches, and on almost all the menus they came with fries (except for BBQ cookout who offered carrot sticks and Planet Hollywood who replaced the fries with carrot sticks at our request). I probably could have persuaded her to have a pizza instead, which isn't much healthier than a sandwich or pasta, which I was going to give her at the Lucky Nugget until we changed our mind! Never mind, I will remember for next time!

I'm so sorry you had such a bad experience at Lucky Nugget :sad2: but at least you had a better time at Cafe Mickey. :goodvibes

Thanks for sharing your holiday with us. :)

Thanks for sharing your report with us. You are right to complain about bad food, I would have done the same at the end of the day your paying for it so why shouldn't it be nice to eat:confused3

Thanks for sharing your holiday with us! :)
I'm glad you managed to enjoy it even though you were so unlucky with food.
