Day SEVEN
We were all super excited to hit MGM!!
We left our room and went over to the BC lobby to grab a quick breakfast. I had the chocolate chip muffin Yummm
and dh had a bagel with cream cheese... the kids had cereal. Then we took the boat. It takes quite a bit longer to walk there than a realized, and the boat seemed slower than I remembered. Once we got to the park we decided to do ToT and RnR first before the crowds picked up. We did the child swap, which saved a lot of time. I LOVE RnR!!!
I think it's the best ride at WDW. No matter how many times I ride it I never get sick of it. Same goes for ToT, especially now that you never know what your elevator is going to do.
Next we headed over to Playhouse Disney and the Little Mermaid, but the lines were huge so we skipped them. Instead we headed over to Muppet 3D and then had lunch at Pizza Planet.
The boys LOVED that.
And actually the pizza is pretty good. I had the pepperoni and dh had the veggie. We just shared with the kids because they are pretty big pizzas. After lunch we headed back to BCV's for naps.
After naps we went back to MGM to have dinner at 50's Prime Time.
It's one of our favorite restaurants and always tons of fun.
Things started out kind of bad because the hostess made a comment to me about how "people don't like being seated next to a baby" and how they complain about it.
Ok, this is Disney World!!! There are babies everywhere!! And my son is almost two, that's hardly a baby. It really upset me when she said that but luckily we had a great server who cheered us up right away.
I had the fried chicken
Soooo good! And dh had the meatloaf, another good one.
The kids both had grilled cheese and then we all topped off the meal by splitting Dad's Sundae!!
But we couldn't even finish it!! LOL
After dinner we ran over to catch Fantasmic before it started. It was already 8:15 and the show was starting at 8:30!
Dinner was a little longer than we thought... we didn't get our PS until about 20 minutes later than scheduled. When we walked through the entrance the CM said "standing room only" but when we got inside there was another CM sitting people in the remaining unused handicapped rows. Which I never even knew they did??? But they did leave one handicapped row completely open, I guess that was for anyone arriving late.
We LOVED the show, as usual, and the kids weren't afraid except maybe a little bit at the end with the dragon. There were some really obnoxious drunk college kids in front of us that almost ruined it, but luckily another man yelled for them to shut up and they did.
We left a few minutes before the show ended so we could make it down to the boat launch early. Which was a good idea because we made it on the first boat back.
As we headed back to the hotel we could see the high fireworks for Illuminations which was neat.
Day 8 coming soon.......
