We were up at 6am, as we wanted to make the most of our last day, packing quickly, we were out of our room by 8am! We checked out, took the shuttle to the park, then went through the embarrassment of opening our case at security, so that we leave it at left luggage. We stopped for a very unhealthy breakfast at the Cable Car Bakery. We each had a teatime option, which gave us some kind of Mickey pastry thing filled with chocolate crème, and a hot drink in a souvenir travel cup. The CM asked me if I wanted cream on my coffee, and I think there was more cream than coffee :coffee: ! We also shared a chocolate chip muffin. We then did some rides - Buzz, Dumbo, Peter Pan, POTC, PM, Autopia, Story Boats, and Casey Junior, before heading off to have dinner at Annette’s. Once again DD had the Green Piece, and I had the Fifty Fifty Combo. This time I asked them to not only leave out the pineapple, but also to change the sauce to ‘Annette’s Sauce’, so it was just as I remembered it from last time we were there, at Easter. After dinner we went on Autopia and POTC, then finally PM was the last ride, as is traditional. DD was desperate for popcorn popcorn:: , and we just managed to find a stall that still had some, before stopping at the shops to purchase the things we had decided we would, it was manic, as the parade had just finished. It took us ages to get through the crowds to the shops, and then the shops were packed out too. We then headed to pick up our luggage, grabbed a bottle of water and some crisps from the Casino at the station, and checked in for the Eurostar. I think we probably cut this a little fine actually, as there was a final call for check in as we were going through, perhaps next time we should leave the park a little earlier – 6pm might have been more sensible? I struggled on to the train, then the porter expected me to lift my holdall up onto the rack above my seat, having watched me struggle aboard! Thankfully I was able to stow it between our seat and the one behind us though. The journey home was fairly uneventful, other than a few disagreements between other passengers over seats being occupied, and luggage being moved :crazy2: . Once we had passed through the tunnel I phoned DH to let him know when we expected to arrive, I thought it would be about an hour from Ashford, but it’s actually a little less, so we arrived on time. I had said we would make our way to where he had dropped us off, and if I couldn’t see him I would call, but just as we were doing this he called me to say he was outside in a 2-minute spot. So the pick up went smoothly in the end, though he said he had driven round Piccadilly Circus three times before picking the right exit! We would certainly travel from St Pancras again, even though we felt the station was not as well signposted as it could have been, considering it’s the new Eurostar station. DH knows his way to Hangers lane, so I plan to see if I can find a route from there, as we came back that way and are sure we only drove down one road all the way!

I have now been back a day or two, and so far don’t appear to have suffered any of the problems I suffered after our last trip, when I ended up in hospital as a result. I am certain that the slower pace, and the fact that we did not have to stand in queues, has helped prevent this happening!

Your trip sounded perfect. So glad you are not suffering from any aches and pains.

What a fabulous trip you have had. Glad you're not suffering at all, hope it stays this way.

Thanks both of you, it would have really spoiled the holiday if I had ended up in the same way I did after our last trip, I was quite nervous about going again in some ways. It wouldn't have been much fun for DD if she couldn't have gone on the rides due to the long queues, as I don't think she would have wanted to leave me sat somewhere while she did them alone, somehow.

I am also pleased to say that DD did all the lugging too, which also helped!

Glad you had such an enjoyable trip and pleased that the health problems didn't resurface. :)
