Thursday 27th December 2007

We were up, dressed and ready for the off around 8am. We had not booked breakfast, so took the shuttle to the parks; while we were waiting for it to arrive ExcitedMum, who was also staying at the Holiday Inn, approached me, which was lovely! We picked up some baguettes from the station Casino, then stopped at a shop so DD could buy a Marie hat, as she had conveniently left her Tigger one at home (I had my Pooh one on already of course). We found a quiet seat in the Discovery Arcade and ate our breakfast, then headed off to Buzz Lightyear. Then we joined the queue to meet Belle at Belles Christmas village. The park was now officially open, and the queues were too long for me to stand in them, so we went to City Hall and showed the CM a letter I had been given by my Doctor, requesting that I be allowed to bypass queues. The CM was happy to allocate us with an Easy Access Card, which would enable us to do just this! We then went on Buzz, which broke down, but not before DD had managed to score 999999, the highest score possible. We then did Autopia and POTC before heading off to Belle Notte for pizza and pasta. Then we slowly made our way to Walt Disney studios, bumping into DH of A Small World, in Main Street on the way, who also recognised me from my hat. At the studios we went on Cars, and the carpets, neither of which we had been on before. DD wanted to try Crush's Coaster, but I felt this wasn’t a good idea for me due to the problems I have had, and she wasn't prepared to queue for 45 minutes by herself. We tried to do the theming only on Tower of Terror, but after standing in a queue (after entering!) that did not appear to be moving, we went back to the library and begged the CM to let us out :worship: . Then we managed three shows in a row - Animagique, Cinemagique, and a Christmas one, which were all great, though we particularly enjoyed Cinemagique, before heading back to DL Park. By now we were feeling hungry, so tried to find somewhere to eat, but we really didn’t fancy pizza and pasta again, and many of the other restaurants seemed to sell a lot of meat dishes, with little to offer vegetarians. We ended up in Marionettes, where we enjoyed some soup, bread and frites. We then went on POTC, then Orbitron, where we stupidly said we would share a pod, big mistake! Talk about squashed in :crowded: , and the ride seemed to take ages to get off the ground, I still swear it was us that were weighing it down. Then we thought it would be fun to go on Autopia in the dark, after which we went on Peter pan, Snow White, and Pinocchio, before working our way back to our hotel for the final night.

Yes, I was so pleased that they both had the courage to come up and say hello when they saw my hat!

We also had a foreign (Spanish?) lady approach us, asking where I had bought it, when I said California (years ago too!) she decided it was a bit too far to go :lmao:

You did loads on your trip Annette - I've still not done Autopia once, never mind twice in one trip!

It's one of our favourite rides, closely contended by POTC and Buzz, PM comes pretty high too :yay:

Again sorry to have missed you but glad DH recognised you. You'll just have to keep the hat and wear it whatever the weather. Reading your report I dont think we were in any area near to you again that day

I understand you are going again at Easter, so maybe we will bump into each other then, what dates are you there? :thumbsup2
