On the road from VA at 4:45 am, stopped 3 times for food and gas. Got to Courtyard Marriott about 6 pm, and checked in. We were really pleased with the room, which had a view of the pools, DTD and the Epcot fireworks. Got settled and headed to DTD to shop. Stayed at DTD for about 1 1/2 hours (got a Strawberry Margarita from the stand near Capt Jacks, and must say that I was EXTREMELY disappointed! They have changed it, and don't make it with fresh fruit anymore, and it wasn't very good, at all!) Back to the room in time to see the Epcot fireworks from the balcony, and had a near catastrophe. After warning DD about watching out for the sliding glass door, she took off from the room to, and ran, full tilt into the glass door, thinking it was open, hitting her nose. Thankfully, it wasn't broken, or bleeding! Still painful, though! After the fireworks, and setting out everything for the next day, we were ready for bed.

Your poor dd. :( After our trip to the beach we put a post it note on the door. Sure is better than running face first into it. (Just ask my 20 yr old dd.) I'm glad you had a safe trip down.

Eyore0062,

How old are your kids? Did you eat at Whispering Canyon?????

My DD is 8. We didn't eat at Whispering Canyon this trip, but have eaten there for both breakfast and dinner about 1 1/2 years ago. Breakfast was really good, but dinner wasn't good at all. We were not pleased with the food, or the service. It was also very LOUD!!! Of course, this is just my opinion... we enjoyed PrimeTime with also has the "interactive" server, but felt that the servers at the dinner at Whispering Canyon took things a bit too far, and didn't know when to quit. Coupled with everything else, it is probably our least favorite place for dinner.
