Hello Everyone!
Well after a long night drive home (literally, we got back at 5:30 this morning) I was finally able to go through the 1000+ photos from the two days and I made a video of some of my favorites
Disneyland 2010 at One True Media - share slideshows, slide shows, Facebook slideshows, free video sharing, video montages.
(I'm not sure how to post the video here, if someone knows please tell me! haha Thanks!)
Let me begin by introducing the people that went to the
First we have ME and my DBF Brent my sisters Whitnie and Ashleigh, and finally my mom Jodi. along with our traveling "surfin' stitch" who won the tickets for mom and sibs we headed off to the 7 hr long drive to disneyland!
We started the night off running around trying to find the parking lot (we get lost easy haha) and finally got there at about 9:10 and missed the fireworks. It was alright.
Brent and I headed straight to IASW but got distracted by some of the yummy goodies. I had some awesome little chocolate cupcakes with chocolate mickeys on them (anyone know what those are called? I had like, 6 throughout the night. where can I get more? I LOOOOOVE those! LOL) and some Mice Krispy treats and then headed to small worlds. I was a bit disappointed that there was no hot chocolate as its my favorite disney cold night drink.
After that we headed over to our party and met Terri Hardin! She was pretty cool
then rode the rest of the rides in fantasyland at least twice.
I was also sadden by the fact that I didn't think there were very many rare characters at all out. I've always seen the AIW gang and I KNEW they would be about bc of the movie. I snapped pics with them, did a few spins with alice and then stood in line forever to meet Cinderella. Go figure the only princess I had never met and when I FINALLY got up to meet her she said "Oh my! Its almost midnight and I must be going before my carriage turns into a pumpkin! Goodnight!" gave me a quick hug and then ran off... sadly she must have not realized her coach was right behind her... :C LOL. Blonde moment
So i got pics with the mice instead which was fine, I had never seen them before.
The lines were taking forever for Jiminy, the country bears, and clara cluck.... by the time I got close to any of them they all left
Didn't get to see mickey, he left for some video thing and never came back... and I had no clue maleficent was even out.... OH and the three lil pigs were cool but the line was crazy and I wasn't going to wait in another just to miss them. I have seen koda and kenai way too much so i skipped out on meeting them. I saw them in DCA the next morning lol.
All in all I had fun
I didn't meet any of the famous people, too many lines for them-and I never made it to EO but thats alright since my mom said it would probably bug my head (i have previous brain injuries i can't do certain things with). It was fun, I got to do all of fantasyland and I didn't have to worry about it the next day
I even got Brent to ride dumbo with me-who refused to ride it haha.
The next day we got our tickets and I surprised mom and the sisters with tickets! even better, the guy I bought them from gave me all 5 for $50! what a miracle! I had been saving all my extra money to buy them each a ticket in since I felt it only right they go all day with us
they haven't been in literally FOREVER so they earned it! They were super stoked and had a blast...
The day was BUSY!! we had to get fast passes for most of the big stuff and saw hardly any characters. We went to DCA first and rode tower of terror and then met Stitch and took our photo with Pluto... didn't see any other characters there except the bears. :l
Rode the ferris wheel for the first time and that was pretty cool. I liked getting to look at everything from high up
We also ate our first disney corn dog (well, brent had the corndog, i just had the bread around the dog... I don't like hotdogs) and we met "corndog the cat" who sadly did not like corndogs. lol. It was totally random, just a cat chillin' at farmers market.
rode cali screaming and then headed back to DLR. Rode everything we wanted except nemo during the day and BTMRR. I had fast passes for BTMRR but forgot Dx DOH! its alright though we still had fun.
I also decided that since I had my disney reward points from my debit card that I would treat me and Brent to our first in disney meal! We have never eaten inside at a sit down and heard BB or cafe orleans was good and we went with Cafe Orleans.
There was only outside seating for the night (bummer) and we FROZE. It went from a hot sunny day to a very chilly windy evening! We ordered the garlic fries and monte cristo. to be completely honest the cristo was not something I will be ordering again. It was a little too greasy for me and I wasn't too fond of it. the best part about it was the berry puree! LOL. Learning experince
lol.
We also watched the Aladdin show before it goes away and had a blast at that. The Genie totally made the show with his sultan puns and twitter jokes
Didn't see really any characters in DLR. My sisters waited for pixie hollow and met Tink and Iradessa (SP) and then I happened to see them while me and Brent were coming back to jungle crusie with our dole whips in line for Aladdin and Jasmine, so I hopped in with them for a picture! lol. Some lady got mad but whatever, they are my siblings
Tink LOVE LOVE LOOOVED Stitch!
apparently she didn't want to give him back and hung onto him for quite some time until Iradessa came out
Mickey was gone by the time we got to his house and there wasn't really anyone else about throughout the day... kinda a bummer especially since there was lots of people..
Overall the trip was good though
I got to spend it all with Brent riding what we wanted and eating dinner... and my mom and sibs got to relive the disney magic for the first time in YEARS!
Oh and disneys jewlery store gets a totally 100% WIN WIN WIN!
Brent and I have been engagement ring shopping and everything has to be custom ordered, since its just engagement rings we're shopping for and not a wedding one I told him lets have some fun and get something cheap... well, I found a really cute silver ring and was disappointed because they didn't have my size. One of the CMs came over and asked if we needed any help and I asked if they had anything in a size 3 that was someone fancy/promise ring/engagement ring looking. He went and back and brought out a size 3 ring!
Its actually really similar to the wedding right I've been looking at except its a mickey mouse!
So for the heck of it we got a mickey mouse promise/engagement ring that actually fit!
made my night! It may not be expensive or a real diamond but thats all right with me!
I got my man, and my future ring coming! haha! It was a magical visit indeed!
