Day one so far! RPR is beautiful. We arrived at 7am this morning and every employee we encountered has been fantastic!
Once we got checked it and our fast passes were printed, we headed over to the parks for our package!preview of Diagon Alley.
I didn't think Universal could do it again, but they have raised the level of theming again. The shear size and attention to detail is amazing. My partner thinks I am crazy, but I swear the owl shop window and the magical pet store both smell like animals.
The Escape from Gringotts ride was spectacular! We rode it twice and the theming was out of this world. It really transports you to Gringotts of the movies.
After the ride, we explored all of the shops in Diagon Alley. We got our own private show at Ollivander's (just my partner and myself). We both got chosen for wands and got brother cores.
We had some ice cream. I had Buttebeer (4 out of 5 stars) and my partner had Apple Crumble (4.5 out of 5 stars). The fresh made waffle cones were delicious too! The we rode the Hogwarts Express to and from IOA. The Hogwarts express is really well done! It looks, sound, and feels like a steam engine train. I liked both the trip to Hogsmeade and the trip to London.
We went to lunch at The Leaky Cauldron and tried the Mini Pies (fisherman's and cottage) and Bangers and Mash with the peach tea drink (2 out of 5 stars) and fizzy lemonade (4 out of 5 stars).
After lunch we rode Transformers (first time) very impressive and The Mummy (an old favorite). Then got a text out RPR room was ready and went to rest since the rain came in. We are having a blast!
We haven't caught a show in Diagon yet and have only done a few other rides due to being lazy in our hotel room and avoiding the rain but we have 3 more days!
