We just got back from our first 3 night cruise and we loved it. we loved it so much we booked a 4 night cruise while on board. we are maybe having to move the date around now, but we will know shortly what it will be.

we arrived at wdw a day early, on weds july 19 after taking the red eye from phoenix. we were tired. we went to MK and rode PoC, then went to lunch at the Kona Cafe for the first time. very nice. Definately get the Kidde Kone!! Then to epcot, then to our room at SS. Very nice place there. We intended to lay down for a few, ended up being 2 hours later!! we went to dinner at the cape may clam bake at Deach Club, walked around epcot, then to DD to look around, go to Ghirardelli, then to the room to relax a bit and be ready for the morning. I did not want to get seasick so i wanted to be rested-and i had my bonine and ginger pills just in case!!

got up early, and took the ME shuttle to the airport at 9 am. then got on DCL bus to terminal. we did this way to get there early and it was perfect. arrived at the port by 11 am. checked in without a problem and got boarding pass group 3.

we looked around the lobby and were in awe. very nice place. got to see mickey and donald. the model of the ship is amazing. The princess cruise ship that tipped a couple days earlier was there and i got lots of pics of it. I really thing the other ships are ugly compared to disney. they looked like boxes to me. Carnival looks like a whales tale sticking out of if with the smokestack. anyways, maybe i just love disney.

took lots of pics of the ships then get to board about noon. we loved that we were announced upon entering. very classy. we went up to eat at beach blanket buffet and sat outside. very nice. good food. then we walked the upper deck and couldnt believe we were on the ship. Had to take pictures of everything.

our room-5635-was ready just before 130 and our attendant-Grace-was always there for us. we went out and looked around some more, went to the shopping seminar and learned a lot.

had the boat drill and were in AP for it. then went and saw the party for the send off. very exciting when we left. i didnt think it would be windy, but it was when we got going. i didnt think about the ship going 20+ knots and having that wind. we got ready to see the first show then dinner. both were great! dinner was parrot cay and was very good. it was just my wife and i and we were seated with 8 other guests at the table. i didnt think i would like that, but it was fun. We loved meeting the different people there. we stayed up till midnight and i had to order room service. ive always wanted to and never have. it was great.

got up early, went to PC for food, then up top to watch us pull into nassau. that was great. went shopping for a couple hours, that was interesting. very different there. got some shirts and some del sol sunglasses. You must go to Del Sol in the Bahamas. All the items there change color in the daylight. If you do buy the book from the shopping seminar, there is a coupon for a nice bag from them when you spend i think $5.00 The bag is very nice. My son loved the shirt i bought him that changes colors too. back to ship for food and hanging out. went to bridge tour at 315. that was great. Learned a lot. Its only about 30 mins and i recommend it if you have time. it downpoured after we were at the ship and we watched everyone run back to the ship throughout the day. with all the rain going on, we decided to book at palo for the night, thus by-passing pirate night. we watch about an hour of pirates of the carribean 2 then went to do other things. Palo was very good. i did have the souffle and it was great. we got out the rain just in time to have the pirate party on deck. that was great and amazing. i had chills from it being so good. glad i got it on dvd!! fireworks were amazing. hung out and had room service again!!

got up about 8 and went to CC. we were one of the first couple off the boat. That was great. did some early snorkling which i didnt think i could do, but i made it to the mickey and touched it!! the snorkling area was empty in the am. i suggest doing it first. looked crowded later on . then we had a 945 time for the waverunners. they were great!! we went 1 1/2 miles away from the island. i couldnt believe that!! went to the sandbar and back we were able to circle the pirate ship too on the way back and get close to it. I highly recommend the ECO tour. I had never been on them before and they were a blast! They go fast too, if you want to apply more gas. checked out the island more, ate at cookies grill and rode bikes to the adult beach. Looked there for a few, was very nice. back to ship about 130, got in pools. the pools seemed cold compared to the ocean we were in. I couldnt believe that! showered and changed after that. talked about rebooking with agent there and did. looks like we will have to move it up a month to april 29 now due to holiday and school. went to auction and watched that and got comp martinis. that was fun. Almost bought a piece or two. they had a life preserver that said disney wonder on it, but wanted $200 for it. I passed. I almost bought a piece of rope that holds the wonder at dock. it was very big around. it was mounted on a plaque and said what it was and the breaking strenght, etc. It was $120 and it was hard to resist. i really wanted it. I kinda still do. went to disembark meeting. O yea, we ran into brent earlier-our cruise director-and told him we were at palo on pirate night so we didnt get bandanas. he got our room number and later sent us a brand new pack of them-10 in all- still sealed and a note signed by him. that was great. dinner at AP was terriffic. i waited years to see this one. checked out stores, spent more money, had the captian sign our ships and pictures we bought and packed.

got up and had breakfast and left. Customs was easy. We got our luggage and stood in line. we had a fast line as the other one was stopped. I handed the paper to the officer, he asked if it was us two, then said go ahead. trans to airport was right there. we got right on the bus and to the airport right away. we really loved the cruise. so much fun. Cannot wait to return!!

i have pics at http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareLa...post_signin=Slideshow.jsp?mode=fromshare&Ux=0

we were in room 5635, fifth floor aft. perfect spot. go right to elevators and up to deck 9 for drinks, then back down. i love the aft section. rebooked that area again.

shopping seminar tells you all about nassau. they have a book that they want you to buy for $20, i didnt want it buy my wife did. it was worth it. got a lot of free or discounted stuff. you get a map as well when you go to presentation. marks the places you should go. very much fun. it was at 230 pm-330pm in buena vista theater.

Ohmigosh! In your 10th picture, I think that is DS in the pool (the kid on the right). I have pretty much the same picture with the same man with the hat in it. And thats my blue Mickey pocketbook on the chair. ;)

What kind of camera did you use? Your pictures are beautiful !!! :thumbsup2

I have a canon powershot A95. I have a 512 mb memory card in it set at the 1600 x 1200 mode/normal, and i can take about 1700 pics with it set like that. If i have it set lower, about 5000 + shots. I can go higher setting as well. its really good on batteries. I do use rechargable but i can use it all day with the monitor screen on. i really like this one.

Beautiful clear pics....I will have to check out that camera.
Thanks for your report, glad you had a great time!

Great pictures! How would you feel about me using the Flying Dutchman one as my screen saver for a while? Huh? Pretty please!
