The party consisted of me, my mom Dianna, sister Christine, Aunt June and Uncle Lee. Due to Christine working till 3:30 p.m., the three of us got a late start in driving up to DL. That's okay, we usually don't mind when it's on the weekend.

We met up with Aunt June and Uncle Lee at The Rainforest Café around 6:30 for dinner and then around 8:05, we took the Monorail leading into Tomorrowland. From there, we decided to stand and wait for the 9:25 fireworks show of "Remember, Dreams Come True" and went to find a good spot directly in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

As it got closer to the time, the announcer said the show might get cancelled due to high elevation, or they can't shoot off fireworks if there's strong winds. We groaned in dismay, but decided to wait anyway. At 9:20, the announcer started to say, "Ladies and gentlemen, boys in girls," and we hoped it was what we wanted to hear. He continued with the show was about to start and we all cheered happily! This was the best time ever seeing this show and I'm grateful for having such a perfect view.

Next, we made like cattle with the rest of the mobs of people and herded ourselves over to New Orleans Square to see the new additions on Haunted Mansion. We reached NOS and met up with the people coming from "Fantasmic!" That meant more wall to wall crowds. We arrived at HM and didn't have much of a wait. Only 10 minutes! The bride is WAY more creepier and she says a couple of things, one of which is along the lines of the Corpse Bride: "You may now kiss the bride!" I heard the three Hitchhiking Ghosts are also going to get a change for the better, or they want to make them more scary-looking.

Next, it was off to check the line for Indiana Jones. The wait time said 45 minutes. With it being after 10 p.m., we said 'forget it!' and made our way out of Adventureland and toward Main Street. However, the Carnation Plaza Gardens had dancing going on and the music drew Aunt June and Uncle Lee to go have a look.

As they and Mom stood and watched the dancers, Christine and I decided to slip into Fantasyland to go to the store, Once Upon a Time, to find a Princess scrapbook my co-worker asked me to get for her. When we reached Fantasyland, I noticed the line for Peter Pan's Flight was a lot smaller than usual and ran over to jump in it! Christine followed and called the others on her cell to come join us in the line. They eventually showed up and we all rode Peter Pan! I love that ride and we hardly get to ride it due to being so crowded!

Next, it was off to Main Street to stop in the Disney Emporium, get the scrapbook, and then go home. Aunt June and Uncle Lee said their good-byes outside the store and left the park. We soon left after my purchase, stopping first at a McDonald's for some food on Harbor Blvd.

Got in a little while ago and we'll be seeing the family again later on for a Mother's Day breakfast. All in all, it was a very nice day and I'm so glad we went up for a few hours. I'd have to say the best part was seeing the fireworks from the spot we chose on the street. Anyway, that's all for now. Take care!

I'm jealous I wish I was close enough to just make a quick trip for a couple hours.
