Trip Report #39...9/9 Wonder "Hurricane Cruise"

Great cruise report Barb. I admire the way you reported the good and bad of the cruise and expressed your disappointment with the problems but kept everything in perspective.

May #40 be MUCH more uneventful.

Thanks for posting the link to your blog. I enjoyed reading your trip report.

Too funny!!

CM_Mom,

Actually in retrospect, it's probably a good thing that we experienced some challenges on this cruise. For 38 trips, things went so smoothly...now, when people ask about traveling during hurricane season, I can speak from personal experience! It's always good not to become too complacent ;)

Hey Barb! I love the way you stayed positive the whole trip, even with all of the inconveniences! I really liked reading your reports every time you cruise on the Wonder.

Another great trip report! Thanks Barb!

Barbara,

Thanks for the great report--you give details that I never think of!!

Is Sasha from Croatia still around? I haven't seen you mention him, but I could have very well overlooked it.

He was SO NICE when I was on my first cruise and I was sad because he was on "break" when we cruised in November. When I told him about my sister's six kids (four of whom joined our family through Russian adoptions), he insisted that I take them some trinkets from him to them---they were THRILLED!! Well I am taking those six kids on the 4-day cruise in June and I REALLY want them to meet Sasha!! They will range in ages from 12 to 18 when we sail.

Thanks for any Sasha scoop you have and thanks again for the report!!

Grits

Barb,
I remember how you always said you like to do something new on every cruise. I guess you kept up that tradition!

Thanks for the report!

THANKS for the report!

Great trip report, Barb! A very different read than your other trip reports. I guess they wanted to 'shake things up a bit' for you and Tony! ;)

Just paid off our Thanksgiving weekend cruise today, so I'm hoping that will be a more conventional one. Actually, I don't mind itinerary changes once we're on the ship...it's just the "getting there" part that I don't like to see changed!

Thanks, Barb! I enjoyed reading this report.

On Royal Caribbean, disembarkation is only slightly less unpleasant than having flaming bamboo shoots stuck under your fingernails.

I noticed just today during the DCL show on Travel Channel that Samantha Brown in doing "Samantha Brown's First Cruise" (Oct 14, 9PM) on an RCI ship. I wonder if she'll steal this line!
