29 July As a member of the Army Reserve we used the free tickets to Seaworld this day. In the morning the wife put some back potatoes in the crockpot with the plan of just eating loaded back potatoes that night. I know this is a Disney site but I will say I do enjoy this park because IMO it is a nice mix of attractions and shows like the Disney theme parks. We didnt know how long we would stay at this park so we had no big plans at the Fort. It was about 730 to 800 that night before we got back. We ate and then we went and got an Ice Cream at the Meadow Trading Post. This was a nice way to wind down from the day. The one problem was my DW had started to get a little under the weather with a stomach virus.
30 July This proved to be a special day though it almost wasnt. When we woke up my wife was still a little under the weather. We were going to Blizzard Beach but if she couldnt make it we would sit it out and just spend the day at the Fort. She decided we would go ahead and go to Blizzard Beach and she wanted to do it via Disney Transportation. We caught the Bus at 1500 loop and rode it to the Outpost. There a few busses had come by and finally one pulled up for Animal Kingdom. My previous experience was the bus to AK stopped at BB. This day AK was having EMH so I guess later busses were supposed to do the AK/BB stop. I ask the bus driver if he could stop at BB and he looked at his watch and it was a little after 8 and said sure. We get to the turn at BB and the light stayed red after going through the cycle a few times and finally when the bus driver saw nothing was coming he went. This put us at the park around 815-820 and we literally laughed as we stood at the metal gate saying we were truly RD (as I say Rope on the chest). After about 5 minutes a CM comes up to my daughters and asks do they ride Summit Plummet. They said yes. We were giving the story that the Ski Captain would not be there and would she be willing to be the first one to go down Summit Plummet and open the park. We also got a free locker, towels and an excellent gazebo. He took us on a tour of the park and then we rode the lift to the top. The view is incredible and what a memory of hearing them countdown to park opening and right when opening there is my daughter going down the waterslide. We then got to the bottom and rode a couple of other big slides. Many of the people recognized my daughter. Later we got a Sandpail (a huge thing of Ice Cream that probably about 8 people could share. Rode many of the water slides and at the same time relaxed a bit which was good for my wife. Left around 3:00 to make sure we would be at our Dinner Reservations at Whispering Canyons. Upon return I took the truck to get gas and get my wife some medicine. We rode our bikes around again for a little while and then we took the boat over to Wilderness Lodge for our Dinner Reservations. After eating we went back to the campsite. My wife stayed to rest a little and myself and the twins rode the bikes to the beach to catch the Water Parade and Fireworks again on our last night. This time we watched the fireworks from the Boat Dock. The view is a little better but the background music is harder to hear. Kind of a trade off (I guess when I do it again I will view from both places again). After then we went to bed to close out a special day.
31 July Well simple travel day. Not really a sad day because this is where the memories are talked about. Outside of some nap time by the girls the entire way home is talking either this trip or planning the next trip. Heck I think we even are checking how to plan a trip before the one we are planning in 2016.
