I almost killed DD earlier... She deleted my almost finished post...

Anyway, here we go...

Day 1 (friday):

Got up at 5am on friday as we had a train to catch at 7am. We went on the Eurostar but unfortunately we had to change at Lille cause there were no seats on the direct train. Got ready, got Mia (DD1) up and told her we were going to Disneyland (we kept it as a secret because of the chicken pox at playschool) and her eyes lit up straight away. She was very excited. Got Anya (DD2) up to get her ready and at 6am we left the house. It was cold but not too bad, well nothing compared to the weather today. Got on the train and had a nice family seats with a little table in the middle for Mia to draw on. Changing in Lille was a bit painful because we had 30mins stopover time and a buggy and one big case so I panicked that we may miss the train. Luckily everything was ok and we arrived around 11.30. Got to the hotel, checked in, got the key for the room and left to go to the park. First we wandered around Walt Disney studios (we didn't go there in June at all) and Mia and DH went on the magic carpets a couple of times before going to see Animagic - show with Mickey and Donald duck. It was great, very sweet for the little ones. After that, we headed towards the park itself, grabbed some lunch and stayed for the Xmas Parade. The parade was ok, we were a bit critical maybe cause we expected more and it was just ok. Can't believe Snow White wasn't in the parade, not sure why... Anyway... After the parade, we went to have hot chocolate as it was very cold before going to see the Enchanted Ceremony at 5.30pm. Now, that was fantastic, perfect for the little ones and Mia absolutely adored it. The best bit was in the end when they turned all the lights off in the park and lit the castle bit by bit. Absolutely amazing. Tired and cold, we went back to the hotel for dinner and a rest.

Day 2 (saturday):

Got up, had breakfast and went to the park. The weather wasn't good but we were hoping for no rain at least (it did rain sadly). It was warmer which made the standing in the queues more bearable. The crowds were hideous, we had to wait for at least 30mins to go on a very simple ride. Mia, luckily, didn't mind waiting, I think she had a lot of fun looking around without being too bored. Went on 'Small World' and 'The Mad Cups' and decided to try and go for lunch at the Cinderella Restaurant cause I really wanted to try the shoe desert. Got there at 12.30 and the lady told us we could only get a seat at 2.45! Mia was starving and we didn't want to wait so we just went to Anette's Diner for hot dogs and burgers. It was nice. Went back to the hotel for her nap before going to the park again to wants Fantillusion, the last parade at 7pm. It was great but had some baddies and poor Mia hid behind me. Luckily, the good ones came last and she was happy. End of another day, a little play in the hotel lobby and sleep.

Day 3 (sunday):

We had brekie in the park but we were late thanks to me... Well, had my first argument with DH over it cause I didn't want to leave the hotel at 8.45am (7.45 UK time). I thought it was far too early to be outside with baby Anya and he was just too excited. In the end, we were a bit late and everything calmed down and was ok. after breakfast, we went through Alice's maze, through Belle's Village, bought the lovely Mickey looking bread and went to wait in the queue for the Princesses. Waited for over 30mins but at least Mia had a photo taken with both Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty so it was worth it. This time we booked the Cinderella restaurant before hand and it was much easier. The food was nice, we all enjoyed it but the desert proved to be a bit too much - a lot of chocolate and a bit too rich!!! Had a little rest in the hotel, sent DH to tape the parades and me and the girls went to say hello to Minnie in the lobby and a little play before going to bed.

Day 4 (monday, last day):

Had breakfast, checked out and headed towards the park. It was lovely and empty, no queues at all. Went on 'Small world' again (Mia's favourite), the carousel, had a photo taken with Minnie in her lovely Xmas outfit and went to have lunch at Cafe Mickey. We loved the place when we went in June so I booked it again. Lunch was probably the best of all we had in the park, but the best thing for Mia were the characters coming to say hello. Very exciting for a small fan of Minnie Mouse. did some shopping afterwards and that was it - it was time to go home.

The journey back wasn't that easy. We again, had to change trains in Lille, the train to London from Lille was empty but we still managed to be near an a******* who was being very important working on his laptop and grunting when he saw us with the kids. And to make things worse, Anya yelled for most of the journey and Mia was sick in the carriage and a few drops on HIM!!! Oh dear... I went to apologize (what else can you do?!) and he looked at me and showed me the spot on his coat where Mia puked and asked me to clean it for him... I wiped it and didn't feel very symphatetic towards him - almost told him to pay and sit in the business class away from small kids! Me and DH had a good laugh about it.

We had a great time, very magical and Xmassy time and feel sad to be back home. It was great to get away from everything and feel like little and big kids. Loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back  !

Awake ;) ???

Thanks for getting this far.

Love,
Ema
