Well, I wish right now I was posting that I was close to the Fort, but I did not even make it to Fayetteville last night. As I was rolling and ticking off the miles heading south, my truck decided it had enough and wanted to take a break for the evening. Only issue is it did it on I95S about 20 miles north or Rocky Mount, NC.

I have to give Coachnet a big cudos though. They had a truck to me in under 2 hours (took them 1 hour to find someone and 45 minutes for the truck to get there once the dispatch was made.) Since the truck was out of 25 miles south, I think it was reasonable given my location. There was a KOA 4 miles away and coachnet had me towed there and promised to follow up with me in the morning. They where trying to find me a repair facility open on a Sunday and by luck they did.

The truck was towed there at 10am this morning, they did get her running again, but its not happy and ready to tow just yet. I hope they can sort it out soon and get the truck back to me today, if that is the case I will hit the road and depending on the hour, my plan is to get as far south as I can for the night. I already spoke to Disney and they will gladly modify my reservation and save me the days stay if I am going to miss it. I just have to call when I know what I am going to do.

I have faith it will work out, but last night I was tired, stuck on the shoulder of I95 and not in very good spirits.

I hope to have a smooth ride going forward, but only time will tell.

Oh No! So sorry you are having all this trouble. I am glad Coachnet got you to safety and found a place to work on your truck. I hope they get it done today so you can get moving again. I hope the rest of your trip goes smoothly!

All the same here, of course I already called the local ford dealer as a backup. If they do not have it ready to go tonight, I am going to get it and drive it or tow it to Ford and let them get it sorted out tomorrow.

Sadly the local shop could not figure it out, so in the AM it goes to the ford dealer.

Bummer, man.

I hope the dealer can get this figured out.

Sure hope things work out well - and quickly. We all know how it feels....if you're an RVer you have either broken down or you will at some point. We had to get the motorhome towed 125 miles last year after losing a waterpump in the middle of TX. Keep the Faith!

So sorry - we have definitely been in your shoes on I-95. It is a frustrating scary experience. Not a way any of us want to begin a vacation.

Hope Ford can get you going in the morning. Sending pixiedust:

Keeping good thoughts things work out quickly and cheaply for you. pixiedust:

Bless your heart:worried:
I hope the Ford dealer can get things fixed quickly (and cheaply!)

good luck! We are back at the Fort waiting for parts for our RV, hoping to leave Tuesday.....

Thank you all. Ford is open and they hope to have a tech working on it before 9am. I hope they figure it out because this is the second time its broken down while towing the 5th wheel. With any luck they will have me back on the road before noon and I can get on the road south. Any earlier then that would be awesome as well.

I just have to avoid looking at the 2012 DRW they have in the lot on the colors and options I want, but I doubt they will make the numbers I would want anyway.

Well luck is not on my side. Truck needs at least 3 injectors, they are replacing the entire bank of them. Downside, it won't be done today, so now I am back at the camper preparing to hunker down for the blast of cold weather on its way. Getting the inside tank filled up before the campground shuts off the water, made sure I had enough propane and setup the 1500 watt heater in the bedroom to help boost the heating in the camper.

With any luck ill be ready in the AM and finally on my way south, I need to call disney and let them know I been delayed another day. I hope once she is fixed that its smooth sailing the rest of the trip.

Hope you're back on your way tomorrow and the rest of the drive is uneventful!

I have my fingers and toes crossed for you, jbrostek.

Here's a double dose of pixie dust. pixiedust:pixiedust:

And the cold weather is here!! Down to freezing tonight in SW FL...You should be fine with full propane and heated tanks and tomorrow (the 7th) is going to be lovely. Just one of the adventures of the RV lifestyle..........

yes, just another adventure. Frustrating when my truck is rock solid, but the last two times towing the trailer has failed me. I am trying to look positive, but right now just trying to get through the cold snap that has finally arrived in NC. Good thing this new 5er is rated for 4 season with tank heaters, heated underbelly, and lots of insulation.
