Like many we will be headed down to DL and CA in June (Fri. 15 - Tues. 19th). I have also been reading several posts on the opening weekend crowds etc. We are actually arriving the evening of the 15th and flying back out late on the 19th. On the 15th we don't plan on going to the parks at all. Given the craziness of Carsland what might be the best day order to hit the parks. I don't need an extensive breakdown just suggestions on which days to try and hit which parks. I am initially thinking DL on Sat. 16th, on Sun. 17th do CA except for Carsland, then either Monday the 18th try Carsland or Tuesday the 19th before we leave. We will be doing some hopping back and forth but we tend to like to make at least one day fairly dedicated to each park.

We also want to do WOC, the Fireworks and Fantasmic so some suggestions as to which days would be better for those would be great. I realize crowds will be crazy but anything I can do to minimize that I am willing to give a whirl.

There is a not a simple best day or worst day for either park at DLR like at WDW.

I would expect the 17th will be busy in DCA because regular SoCal APs have that weekend day to see CL.

It's fine to spend most of your time in one park or the other. Though I would run across and get FastPasses during the day, and hit some major attractions in the late afternoon or evening using them.

I totally get this and I guess I am just looking for what most think would be the best way to attempt...Cars Land during the weekend or wait for the week to start to do that. We will definitely being doing some hopping with fast passes so I know that will help.

In regards to fireworks, WOC and Fantasmic, I was thinking about Fireworks the 1st night at DL, and then trying to figure out when to work in WOC and Fantasmic through out the rest of the trip. We will be doing a dining package for WOC so same scenario...do it on the weekend or wait till Monday night? Just not sure which way to tentatively plan so looking for the experience/suggestions of others.

I would do WoC on the busiest day, which is quite possibly Sunday. Thus I would fireworks Saturday, WoC Sunday and F! Monday.

If it were me. Each day, if this works out since we don't know the hours and if DCA will have MM and things like that. Go to DCA and get in line before it opens and go to RSR(with no doubt a huge wave of people) to get FPs for later and ride it or one of the other CL attractions. Then either go to other areas in DCA or over to DL.

When returning later in the day to use the RSR FP, ride it and if the other CL attractions have short lines, them too. On that same trip into DCA probably hit up some other rides there.

Make sure you also visit CL, even if you aren't going to ride anything, see it at night for the impressive neon. It will be vastly different in appearence than during thd ay.

Just to add... :goodvibes

Yes, it's a good idea to see the fireworks on the first day of your visit. Winds aloft can sometimes cause the fireworks to be cancelled.

Exactly the reason why we are shooting for the fireworks 1st. It has been a while since we have seen them as my wife and I have skipped them to do other things...most recently we had the option of Club 33 or fireworks...wasn't a hard to decision to skip the fireworks.
