Just love this forum, there is just so much fantastic information. Hope I'm posting my questions in the correct place, a gal could get lost with all these different topic threads.

I am planning a trip to Florida in December '08, We are looking at flying to Ft Lauderdale to start and working our way down to Key West for a few nights then to Palm Beach on the way back and finally ending the trip with 6 nights at WDW. I will be traveling with my boyfriend who has never been to FL and does not seem to grasp that WDW is as special as I think it is. He is looking forward to having a vacation and says he will go any place I want to go, which as it happens, was the right answer. By the way we are in our mid fortys so not looking for too much action but not quite ready for a rocking chair either.

Have not booked anything yet so not even sure what room availability is like but hopefully I can get a good resort for 6 nights since we are leaving before the Christmas peak begins. I would like to say at The Beach Club since it is within walking distance to EPCOT (my favorite) and the boat will take us to whatever MGM Studios is now called. Also it looks like their is plenty of activities close to the hotel at the Boardwalk area.

Would it be advisable to split the 6 nights between two resorts. Would love to try the Animal Kingdom Lodge or the Wilderness Lodge, even POFQ looks lovely... too many choices it would seem.

Any tips, ideas or comments are most welcome. I have been to WDW several times but am no expert but I think I have come to the right place.

Lots of questions.
I can move you to the pre-trip board. This will be the area, that you can get all your questiones answered.

I would call now, if you want to stay at the Beach Club. It is a DVC and the rooms fill up very fast. If you don't want to pay rack rate. You could go to the DVC rental board and rent points from an owner. I did this last year during Easter and had a very good experience.

Most members stay Sun-Thursday at the Beach Club and then you could do The Animal Kingdom Lodge before or after your stay at the Beach Club.

Welcome to the DIS boards.
