Trip Planning ? - Oct 7-9

Hello, I am new to these boards, but I am loving them! Thank you for the pre-order photo pass + post. I ordered mine already.
I'd like some advice on our trip in two weeks please?
We've got 3 day PH passes for Sunday October 7 to Tuesday October 9, and I have a few questions about my tentative plan.
1) Should we hit DCA or DL on our first day (Sun Oct 7)? We are really excited for Cars Land and want to do RSR first, but crowd levels are supposed to be really high that day at DCA. Should we wait and do DL first day and DCA on Monday?
2) F! and DCT Fireworks are on Sun & Mon Night. Which night should we plan on seeing them? Both one night, or do one of each Sun & Mon night?
3) DL is closed early on Tuesday due to the Halloween Party, and we won't be attending the party. Was thinking of doing WOC that night, although there is only one show at 8:15. Do you think it will be super busy at DCA WOC because of the Halloween Party? Would this be a good way to end our trip?
4)I'm thinking of pre-ordering picnic meals for the WOC FP's. We saw WOC two years ago and I went and got FP's from GRR first thing in the am, but I remember it took me at least an hour to do this, and this time I'm thinking I'd rather pay for the lunch and avoid the line-up. Unless the line-up are a lot shorter in the morning for WOC FP's now?

First of all, welcome!

1) Because you have park hoppers, go ahead and go to DCA first. Luigi's seems to stay around a 40 min wait and maters is around 20. Depending on when you arrive will determine if you get a FP for RSR or if you stand in the stand by line. If you are all over 7, you can do the single rider line too. It tends to be around 25min. However, if you think it's too crazy busy, walk the 100 yards to DL. That's the beauty of the 2 parks so close together.

2) Do not try to do F! And fireworks in one night, unless you don't care if you are on Main Street for fireworks. This is the best place for the full effect. When doing F! If you want a good spot, but don't want to wait hours, go to the second showing, if its offered. Show up an hour before the show and you can get a good spot.

3) DCA will be busy Tuesday night. However if you get a FP for WOC, you'll get a spot it is an amazing show and a great end to your trip.

4) the WOC FP line is nothing like it used to be. You can still get FP after noon most days. The picnic isn't really worth it any more. (Could save the $ for a nice lunch or maybe the Halloween party which is amazing!)

I also say go to DL on Sunday. I would spend most of sun/mon at DL and then Tues at CA.
Loved the photo pass plus. Are you doing a character meal? Remember your pictues (and you get them at the time) will be included in what you already paid.
And don't forget to give them your card after the rides w/ photos.

Yes, we are doing a character meal, dinner at Goofy's kitchen on the saturday night after we arrive. Partially planned because of the photo pass + deal!
Kids with me are under 7 so we can't do the single rider line at RSR and and we are staying off property so we don't qualify for the EE at DCA. If we show up at park opening (8am) is there a chance of us getting RSR FP's? Because there is EE for Sun & Mon morning for hotel guests.
Thanks for the F! tip. We'll plan F! on Sunday night and Fireworks on Monday night, and save WOC for Tuesday night then I think. And I'll forget the picnic idea and get WOC FP's myself Tuesday morning.

I think that Sun., the 7th, is the last day of the Gay Days. The schedule is for DCA that day, so it may be more crowded there. That would swing my vote for DL on Sun.

I think with Mon. being a holiday, Tues. is going to be your slowest day in the parks, if that helps. It might be easier to see CL then (before the Halloween party). Though if something you're dying to ride breaks, it's your last day.

I agree, the picnics aren't needed. I think even last time I was there (March 2011) you could easily get a WOC FP from the machine.

I think DCA is supposed to be very crowded during the party.
