Trip planning help needed

I am going 12/23-12/29 in 06
also 9 days around Easter or Late March (say the 4th-13th of April 07)
and Late March (21-29th 2008)

Facts: I have 175 points SSR
I am in a borrowing situation for the December trip(90) points leaving approx 81 points balance. The 1st Easter ressie would be points and the second should be about the same.

What to do? I san smell an add on? Do you thinK 50 points will do it? I would love to purchase at another resort besides SSR to give me some flexibility(we like to switch resorts after 4-5 days). I also have a source for points to rent (at fair market value)...but think that would be a waste of $11 pp that could be going toward my add on. What is the current cost of add on's at resorts?

Also what do you think I should do with tickets? I am considering getting the MYW tickets for 1 trip with no-expiry (first trip probably so I can save up the plusses) for later trips.

Or should I just get by on what I have and try for an AP rate at Easter time(ha ha ha!!! )?

Does anyone have any advice or other thoughts. I really appericate it.

Personally I would do the add on rather than rent points. It sounds as though you are going to continue using them. I know I am always in a borrowing state.

As for the tickets,I would get those wonderfully discounted DVC AP's for the Christmas trip & Easter trip of 07. Then you can either get AP's again for your next trip that would be in March/April of 08. You could either get the regular AP and use it for discount to the water parks or get the premium AP to include everything. The premium 10 day ticket with no expiration is quoted as $441.11 for advance purchase on mousesavers while the premium AP with the DVC discount is quoted at $440.91 at wdwig.

By the way we will be at VWL from Dec 19th - 25th and SSR from the 26th - 29th. Maybe we will bump in to you somewhere!

Thanks Lori for your suggestion...I was leaning toward the MWY tickets for Dec...because I would probably get 6 plusses, and we could use a few in April 07 and March 08 plus 7 out of 10 days on the base tickets-saving the balance for other trips.
2007/2008 and 2009/2010 are years that can be linked together to buy an AP and use it for a 2nd trip before it expires for 2 Easter trips(not wanting to pull kids out of school).

I think the add on is in my future...now how much is it going to set me back? I will be on the look out at Christmas!!!

Well an AP for that trip would work too. Sounds like a great plan.

As for the add on I'm not sure what points are going for or what the incentive is right now. We just added on 120 at SSR last summer so I'm not in the market for them. Can you get in to DVCmember.com? They might list it there somewhere.

How old are the kids? My DD will be turning 8 during our Christmas trip and DS will be 15.
