Trip payment by check

How long does it typically take for the check to clear? If the check bounces will Disney redeposit it? This hasn't happened but I just want to know how their payment by check policy works.

I sent a check payment in, and it was cashed within a week. I was surprised at how fast it went through. Disney emailed me a receipt too.

I've never paid by check, but since the pp's check cleared within a week of mailing, my guess is Disney processes checks electronically (which most places do today). If that's the case, the check will clear almost immediately after Disney receives/processes the payment. With that said, they may or may not redeposit it, it just depends on their policy which I'm not familiar with.

I paid off the last trip by check and it came out in 6 days from the time I put it in the mail.

I wouldn't count on them trying to redeposit if the check bounces on first try. You could end up losing your reservation if that happens because it could end up past the "hold" date to get the deposit paid.

You could always purchase a gift card for the balance and pay by phone.
